That site is really fucked.
All content owners need to check this site out and serve Copyright violation notices. These notices should be written to cover all content on a list of domains.

Once you have served them, any future violation will go very well in court.
Don't be shy about protecting your assets.

If all paysites would stop allowing downloads, this problem would be VERY rare.. I think

:2 cents:

This is very true.. the only true solution to this problem would be to stream the content and not allow downloading to your members. Either this or DRM.. but that would definitley be alot of work backlogging all the past videos.. so I say just leave the old ones as is, and all the new stuff use DRM or just stream it. If every major site made an agreement where they would all use DRM or stream, then it would cut down on the pirating significantly. Only old videos would be coming out nothing new.

We can all make a pact to go after the pirating sites etc, but who's to say we get those shutdown & more don't pop up. The Solution is further down the ladder, if we want it to stop we have to take the steps to prevent it from even happening. Then once we have solved it from happening anymore we can go after those who have been doing it in the past and get them shutdown.

wtf is up with this industry..:disgust

How can i promote sites like Raven Riley if every joe blow video site is giving away the full version members rips. ?

Sponsored by FLING and FLESHLIGHT

am i missing something here . why are affiliates the only ones bringing this up ?

i'm sure the signups are doing fine for many sites still but i dont see that lasting long considering this new wave of "steal everything that isn't nailed down" mentality

Ok first of all I understand your concerns about a torrent site like this but let me ask you this How do you know the content providers havent given out permission to use this content?
I will tell you the reason why every Joe Blow is making a tube site like this is because alot of sponsors (ARE ALLOWING IT)!
It is the new wave of porn that has hit the market in the last year or so and soon it too will not be making as much money as it once did so dont worry.
There is nothing wrong in my eyes with a tube site that uses content (with permission)from content providers if however it is a rip off site then that is a different story!
Im not sure exactly how the bandwith bill would be I guess it all depends on how well you now how to cut it back, but these types of sites attrcact surfers by the truckloads with Bookmarkers that much I do know.
So stop the hatin on (All tube sites)cause some of them arent rippin people off you know?

wtf... i see a lot of my on content over there.... exclusive ones :(

Loki 07-27-2007 08:20 PM

I won't bore you all to death with my repeat 'preaching' but this is NO DIFF then the password sites from way back when, do some research guess who was behind the biggest ones? coughsponsorscough this is NO DIFF and WILL NOT CHANGE!

Sad world we live in, but the end of the day, this entire industry is just for the Green, no matter how it's obtained, and the more money the program owners can keep the better.

(I do not personally follow that mentality but that's prolly why after all these fucking years i'm still a broke ass nobody ;) )

You cant promote sites that allow huge amounts of content to be used but many affilates continue to do so.

Falcon enforce our rights, we file lawsuits, we send out notices and when our efforts go public you start yelling at us for enforcing our rights because we are going after someone who bought you a drink. A fellow bro if you will.

Sponsor programs and content producers carry a major burden. Not 2257 but COST associated with production and distribution.

Affiliates get to use to supposedly to promote a specific program but how many use it for other things as well. How many of your trade scripts cause a redirect from an image you do not own to another tgp who will send you traffic back. That in itself is infringement.

The DMCA does not afford companies such as tnaflix any cover and they are on our radar and we will get around to nailing them at some point. Its a tough call of where to begin, there are soooo many.

I have taken a stand along with others and we get little to no support as a result. Its easy to sit behind a keyboard and make assumptions. Heck it would be easy for me if I didn't also have to shell out the expense or liability.

In the end, everyone appears to be innocent and everyone appears to be guilty. If people are really serious about stopping this then don't support the companies that perpetuate theft. Treat this business like a real business.

I am NOT calling anyone out I am just saying that it seems that there is a group always looking for an angle. And as long as they exist, there seems to always be someone who will buy a spot on it.

Here is my offer, if your content is on a site and you can find others who have content on a site and the site looks like it makes money, I will join in and help you slam them shut while also collecting whatever they had or made. Lets see how serious people are about this. There is the offer.

You may now return to your daily hate programming.

Very good post and very true.

As far as drm until someone comes up with something iron clad its a waste of resources. http://www.engadget.com/tag/fairuse4wm

A) its not a torrent site.. B) yes i have asked several sponsors , and no they didnt allow their videos to be there. C) the whole point is IF they don't mind their full memebers area rips to be used , then why not let affiliates who actually promote the sites use the same content..

although not one has told their affiliates its ok.. its ok for the thieves who dont promote them to use it but their affiliates who actually run their banners cant .. :error

i fail to see the logic behind letting sites use full members area rips ONLY for a watermark in the corner , yet affiliates get 2 min clips and must have banners.. I can see the logic behind branding something , i don't see the logic behind letting people who dont promote the sites use it and those who do can't

Because that is the mentality of some programmers. From sites like Tucows to sites stealing content it's born out of the mentality of "It should be free, it's on the Internet"

Only changes when you're trying to sell what others are giving away for free.

Smokey think things through a bit more.

Should a sponsor ignore a perfectly good way of getting traffic and making a profit just so you make money?

If a sponsor wants more traffic from his affiliates he needs to be very competitive and make good profits. Can he achieve this by using other methods of driving traffic himself and using the extra profit to pay out and support you more?

Should a sponsor go 100% into only having affiliate traffic?

Would it be more profitable for a new site to forget about an affiliate program and go into submitting to P2P networks, Torrent sites, etc?

This is business and while I hate people who steal content I cannot complain when others find better ways to work.

thats not the point .. im saying why give full videos ONLY to sites that dont advertise them.. it makes no sense. why wouldnt you ALSO give them to your affiliates..

Please explain to me how giving it away to youtube style sites and NOT to their affiliates helps them..
