You know WHY it's called GOOD Friday even though it's the day Jesus died. Because if he doesn't then mans sins couldn't be forgiven and he doesn't rise from the dead to be with god. Jesus death is necessary before the new covenant can begin. This is why Judas really wasn't a traitor. Jesus wanted Judas to have him arrested so he could be martyred. The other disciples were jealous of Judas and thus he gets made into a bad guy.

First of all I'm an athiest. I don't believe in any gods. Jesus was real person there is enough historical evidence of that. Was he the son of god, did he perform miracles, did he rise from the dead? No. I'm just explaining the story that even the most devout Christian gets wrong.

I'd be glad to see some. The fact is there are no nonbiblical writings that mention Jesus until after 70 years after his supposed death.

The few mentions that there are after that time are disputed by many as interpolations and mistaken identity. You should look into this more.

I look into it plenty. The fact is his disciples are REAL peple. The Romans kept excellent records. So 12 guys got together and made up a fictional Jesus? No doubt the made up the whole miracles and rising from the dead parts, but I believe Jesus was a real person.

So show me some references to these Roman records.
