I bought a new Rolex (pics)

I had a good month on the stock market so I cashed out a little and treated myself to this.

It's custom made. Authentic Rolex.

It's alot like my current one, but alot more diamonds on it. Almost 6 carats total.

Doctor Dre 08-24-2006 05:53 PM

How much is that thing ?

and yes, everything looks real about it ;) tons of way to spot a fake rolex easily.

Diamonds on a men's watch are teh gay.

I am more of a Breitling person myself.

XMaster 08-24-2006 05:57 PM

Now that's a PIMP watch

Scott McD 08-24-2006 05:57 PM

Pretty close. I think the custom work could have been better, but I have a real picky eye. I've seen similar watches for $120k though and thats too much for a watch for me.

DatingGold 08-24-2006 05:59 PM

My other one is basically the same thing, but a differnet style band and only had diamonds on the face. None on the bezel, lugs or band.

p1mpdogg 08-24-2006 06:00 PM

more than 34k for 6 carat white gold or platinum?

My wrist is too small for those. But if I get a Bentley I'll have to get one of those.

You don't pay a cent over $300 for a fucking watch. It's a watch... for fuck sakes.

If you wanna know if somebody is really rich you look at their wrist. That's what they buy when they made it... the cars and house come first, but when you have $30k to put down one shot that's cauz you have money... nobody finances rolexes.

dakota1358 08-24-2006 06:19 PM

looks like it does the same thing as my $20 Casio watch. It tells time

Fucksakes 08-24-2006 06:21 PM

I really like that watch, doesnt look too pimping but looks very clean.. I'll need an upgrade soon enough.

Actually you can finance them at some jewelers. But you have a good point!

Agreed :)

A nice watch is a sign of success, sophistication and it's better than pulling out your phone to check the time every 5 mins.

Love the watch! I'm normally not a big Rolex fan, but this is pretty clean looking. I'm not one for all kinds of colors, dials, etc like a lot of watches have... I'm personally a Movado man but I'd wear this in a second.

Cheers! :thumbsup

same here, would never own 1 myself but congrats to the new owner. i only rock a cartier santos 100 that retailed for $9100 : ( but it came with a lot of ass.....

pr0 08-24-2006 06:36 PM

If i wore that watch around d.c. i'd be shot for it within a night. How can you even go out in public with a 30k watch?

Not hating here....just wondering how you get any use out of it.

Where I live they'll just assume I got it at the flea market hopefully.

But seriously wearing a watch like this and driving my car around the city I live in is a risk. So I tend to avoid it.

wedouglas 08-24-2006 06:40 PM

I hate the bubble date thing. Leading reason I won't buy a Rolex.

I actually agree. Only a 60 year old needs that shit. Something about that reminds of a retard with those bug thick glasses on. But otherwise...

How do they compensate for different months? Mine has a small date thing (tiny with no bubble) but it is always off because months arent all the same.

Do Rolex work the same?

I know but very little people does that... and if they do that's cauz they make more money from investing then paying interest...

yeah i don't know any watch that gets around that, that is date only.

biggest problem with rolex's is you have to keep them "wound". So i have a case you put them and it auto winds them. Basically if just flips the watch around for the perpetual movement.

Phil 08-24-2006 06:54 PM

now thats big time pimping bro... I'm going to send that traffic over to you and take that rolex from you for christmas.

Vitasoy 08-24-2006 07:08 PM

Me thinks you've only seen fake rolexes with bad ones. The real ones makes it just so easy to read...

actually I worked with the ultra rich when I worked at a jaguar/rolls royce dealership. Rolexs were considered gauche because there are so many fakes going around. Either they wore very understated very expensive watches or timex ironman ( clinton wore that so they were popular at the time)
Congrats on your watch by careful where you go with that watch some junkie would cut your arm off for it lol

blazi 08-24-2006 07:17 PM

very nice elegant looking watch, I like it!!

UniversalPass Pete 08-24-2006 07:18 PM

Do they make those for men?:winkwink:

LOL just kidding, nice watch!

tranza 08-24-2006 07:19 PM

Looks pretty cool....

rodney25 08-24-2006 07:20 PM

That looks pretty expensive, man. Congrats. :)

aflex 08-24-2006 07:21 PM

breitling here =]

Wagerboy 08-24-2006 07:32 PM

Anyone that doesnt understand the statement a watch makes need to just keep wearing thier walmart suits and get a clue.

Very nice watch, i looked at that one a few weeks ago. Best of luck with it. My "statement" watch is a Breitling w/ 8 ct's. It looks like a stop sign on my wrist, but, thats what I wanted :)

Eddie

Everytime somebody will look at it he'll think it's fake anyways... trust me I know ;)
