Do you pack heat?

I don't, and don't think I ever will unless it becomes a necessity. Just never grew up around em, same as drinking; one would think.

If you do, what is it and why?

Mr Pheer 04-19-2004 12:31 AM

I'll never confirm or deny.

torrey 04-19-2004 12:31 AM

http://pornslinga.com/entropybanner/usa.gif I did when I was in the Army. :)

matty 04-19-2004 12:32 AM

rip raster 04-19-2004 12:33 AM

I carry around a rocket launcher, you just never know when it might come in handy

Digipimp 04-19-2004 12:33 AM

i did for a long time and probably will start doing so again now that i'm probation and not worried about shooting someone sending me directly to prison.

KRL 04-19-2004 12:33 AM

In today's world? You gotta be crazy not to.

webmaster x 04-19-2004 12:37 AM

Nope,never done that.

phatzaneŽ 04-19-2004 12:38 AM

i have friends who have all kinds of guns. personally they scare the shit out of me. i hate shooting them.

i know its dumb but every time i shoot a handgun i think of 50 getting shot 9 times and i count 1,2,3... jesus i cant imagine that.

the craziest gun i shot is a m1-5 i think it was??:ak47:

i hate guns. but they sure can save your ass.

Holly 04-19-2004 12:40 AM

Yes. It usually stays in the glove compartment in my car, but sometimes I bring it in. Always take it on (car) trips and given the situation, sometimes in my purse. I do it because a) I'm a girl, and b) there are a bunch of stupid fuckers in this world.

around here some places are safe enough to actually sleep with your door unlocked and your hahahahahaha open(ive seen multiple people do that in my nieghborhood) but some youd have to be a moron to go without a gun. I hope i never have to shoot one but if i do ill make sure i dont kill them just shoot them in the arms or something.

Vitasoy 04-19-2004 12:53 AM

Nope, but after reading this thread, I might have to... :uhoh

pradaboy 04-19-2004 12:55 AM

NOWHERE IS SAFE! not even gated communities. how are gonna tell the killer or the home invaders to stay away from your house when they are out searching for one?

ummm, I live in the biggest city in Canada. Toronto. Probably in one of the worst neighborhoods, (scarborough) and owning a gun has never even crossed my mind.

I think its just americans that carry around guns, cause I would be surpised as hell if more then 5% of Canadians own a hand gun. The only people here who own guns are big time criminals and hunters.

Rochard 04-19-2004 01:00 AM

If you feel the need to carry a gun.... then you live on the wrong side of town.

Only costs about $200 - $300 at most gun shows

in the last 5 years the number of home invasions has sky rocketed. if you think you're safe because of the neighborhood you live in think again.

BrettJ 04-19-2004 01:04 AM

I do. Seattle is a fairly safe city. But you never know. Before I started carrying - I was in a few situations where I wish I had one.

I grew up with guns - so the decision to get/carry one was easier than for others. But since I shoot content, deal with angry fathers/boyfriends. And since we're now a more public company/site - it's just a precaution. I consider myself a responsible individual. I haven't pulled it on somebody. If / when i pull it out - I plan on using it - so it's gonna have to be pretty serious. I Doubt I'll have any problem using it - if I pull it - they deserve what they are getting.

who is the idiot that let you point a loaded firearm, with your finger on the trigger at them while they took a pic?

and why would you even do that anyway

shit like that is how accidents happen and people die, and another gun owner makes national news

lol. im not going around saying im some big gangsta or whatever, My uppity white ass doesnt claim any sets. Only reason why im living here is because my beacon score is low and dont have a co-signer to live elsewhere. I'm a white boy born and raised in winnipeg manitoba in one of the richest neighborhoods.

All im saying is scarborough is "bad" neighborhood. Lots of murders and always on the news and stuff. But I have never thought of buying a gun to protect myself.

well if you really wanna get into it here's all the info. my computer sits against a brick wall. if i shoot my camera, fuck it i don't care. not to mention that it is a smith and wesson, it has an external safety and i made damn sure it was on and that i wasn't putting any pressure on the trigger. and for the finish i use low penetration hollow points so i doubt richochet would have been much of a concern. i'm very adamant about gun safety. think before you speak. there are safe ways to get good pictures.

i'm just playing with you. i know scarborough some area's are hard as fuck. some area's are fit for my grandma. but where do the smart ones go when it's robbing time? someone else's neighborhood. but know this. i know a dozen people with more than one gun in their house, they dont carry it like the US, but they are here. and im willing to bet toronto has a hell of a lot more illegal guns than vancouver! on the other hand, its sometimes better to not have one on you, you most likely wont be in that kind of a position where someone would shoot you for the simple fact of seeing it.

smack 04-19-2004 01:14 AM

FYI my gun doesn't fire when there is no clip in it. even if there is a round in the chamber.

CamChicks 04-19-2004 01:17 AM

You understand this is why people think Americans are crazy, right?

And you understand that you're far more likely to kill yourself
than face this crazed killer boogeyman you're all so afraid of . . ?

Stop listening to rap music and check out some real statistics.

And please, if you do own a gun, stop posing for pictures with it.
It makes you look like a wanker. :2 cents:

WTF scarborough is a variation of my family name?

Are you serious.

Holly 04-19-2004 01:18 AM

It has nothing to do with my neighborhood, which is why I rarely bring it into the house. I live in a nice area and there is 0 crime. There's never been a homicide/murder here and I doubt there's been a break-in in years. I never lock my front door when I go out during the day/evening and I leave my car unlocked with the keys in it, every single night.

I feel 100% safe at home. It's when I have to go into the city, on a trip, or somewhere away from the area where I live, that I want to have it. And I do have a permit and we're allowed to carry a concealed weapon if you have one.

1.) i listen to punk rock.

2.) people who kill themselves with their own guns are idiots. it's a good thing they're dead so we don't have them negatively effecting our world.

3.) i would rather look like a wanker with my firearm than be dead, stabbed, shot and left in alley somewhere.

Your finger outside the trigger guard is the real safety, plus having a round chambered when you're not intending to shoot is just irresponsible. Please, take a safety class for everyone else's sake.
