someone comes on my property I dont know and it dark, I go outside with my vest, and my shotgun, and I raise the gun, I keep my distance, I have on infrared goggles, I already know how many people are on my property via infra red camera system and motion alarms, I know their locations, And Im ready to defend myself if need be. What would someone without a gun or security systems do if someone came wandering on their property in the middle of the night? call the police? what if your phone line was cut? what if your cell phone mysteriously was turned off or unavailable for some reason? then what?

Heh heh, probably forgot he chambered one while showing it off for friends at some point. btw: Aren't (real) hollow points designated 'police only' most places.

Lol no shit man...

MrPheer.. I've told you why people like me shouldnt have guns..

Cuz I'd do something really stupid with it like shoot someone in a temper flare...

I would however get a shotgun, and have been looking here and there.. I really like that silver one pictured above.. You can still kill someone in rage with a shotgun, but I guess it's a little harder to conseal and put down your pants.. you're luggin around something bigger and it gives you a second to think about what you're about to do to someone...

hey holly,

i have to say - leaving your gun in the car is a BAD move. Bad enough when it's parked in your driveway (assuming it isn't parked in a locked garage) - But made even worse - if you only take it with you - at certain destinations but not at others.

Just seems like you're opening up possibilities for somebody to break into your car - and get ahold of your pistol.

~Brett

I've considered that and in the beginning I did try and bring it in every night, but for various reasons after awhile I just didn't feel it was necessary and preferred to keep it locked in the glovebox.

My car does stay in a locked garage and I'm fortunate in that I live in an area that has no crime. I'm only a few miles from the city, but where I live is mainly just neighborhoods and schools and most of the communities are gated. We incorporated a few years ago so we have our own policemen now and they patrol constantly. Plus, we're all on the water and you have to cross a short bridge to get over here. That keeps most of the problems out because the police can close the bridge off in less than a minute. If someone pulls some shit over here, they're likely to end up trapped before they can get back.

If I'm out and I'm in an area that worries me, I will put it in my purse. But sometimes I still have to leave it in the glovebox. Not much I can do about that part, but having it in the car when I'm out is the main reason I own it.

Of course it isn't dumb that you would think that.

I mean ... 50's a black rapper from New York. You're a white stunt cock from Vancouver. You guys share so much in common that it'd only be natural you would feel so deeply about his shooting.

That's certainly your right to think that, but I know why I have it and I know exactly when and where I would use it. I don't take pictures of it, flash it around, threaten people with it, or ever take it out unless I'm at the firing range. The only reason I would ever pull it out is if I had to shoot to kill someone because I honestly believed it was either me or him/her. I would never point it at someone or try and "wound" someone with it. If I take it out, it's to kill somebody. Otherwise, it stays put.

XxXotic 04-19-2004 02:34 PM

the lighter in my pocket, that's about it

Fucksakes 04-19-2004 02:37 PM

I think Canada is alot different than the states about guns, I got guns to hunt with, but no hand guns, if I was carrying one of them around with me, I would be doing so to uses it. definatly not scary enough around here to HAVE to have a gun with you.

besides walking around with a gun, and the cops stop me, im fucked no? is it actually legal to carry one around?

Needless to say we have really strict gun laws and as a result no one I know carries a gun. Which is very in keeping with this place because we have the cleanest air and water in the world and more protected wilderness than the whole of the U.S.. It is paradise and guns would just fuck it up.

Hmm...

So since the gun ban went into effect in Australia, homicides went up 3.2 percent, assaults are up 8.6 percent, and armed robberies have climbed over 40 percent.

Looks like those laws are helping the criminals more than the law abiding citizens.

Dirty F 04-19-2004 08:20 PM

This this is an example why you need a gun in America. To protect you from people with guns.

Fucking crazy. Cant you guys see who/what you are fighting?

Dirty F 04-19-2004 08:25 PM

I honestly couldnt live in a country where guns are legal. Knowing people in general are idiots is bad, knowing that those idiots also are allowed to have guns is really scary.

I said this before in previous guns threads.

The chance i will ever have a gun pointed at me in Holland is basically 0%

Why, simply because people dont pack guns. We dont have to be afraid of it hence we dont have buy on ourself.

I feel sorry for all you guys who one:
1 Need a gun because the idiot next door also has a gun
2 Need a gun and also like having a gun because they think its cool.

Self defense is 1 thing. A deadly weapon to toy with is insane imo. I know this is a difference of culture but think about it for once. Somewhere something went wrong with the gun part of your culture.

TurboAngel 04-19-2004 08:34 PM

I get real bad PMS so I can't have one or I'll end up killing someone and then be off to jail for life.

I did date someone who had one and one night we had a big fight, he hit me. He woke up to me on his chest and the gun in his face. He said " You silly bitch, you don't have the clip in right" and then took it away from me. I never saw that gun after that.

:winkwink:

i pack heat like the oven door biatch. god forbid anyone ever try to take what's mine. i'm a wicked fucking shot too.

This are the people who scare me and who shouldnt have a gun.

Little wiggers who like to show off their gun and let people see how tough they look.

These people are also the reason why all the accidents with guns happen in your country.

Very sad.

And it honestly scares me that a brainless kid like this will walk around on a webmaster show i attend with a gun underneath his jacket.

Dirty F 04-19-2004 08:43 PM

The chances that something accidentally will happen to you or someone close to you with a gun are bigger than the chance you will ever need it to protect your life.
Something more people should realize.

Once again you are your own enemy. The only people you have to fear are the same people as you, buying guns because you have one as well.

Anyway, enough ranting.

Do what you have to do and i just hope i dont have to get involved the few times i step foot in America,

14,000 deaths by guns per year, compared to Canada's 148 a year, and its about the same rate in every other country too.

I agree.

Being a fairly big guy, most people that pick fights with me are shorter and smaller than me. While there are alot of tough and trained guys out there that are smaller than me, there are alot of guys who think they are tough only when they have a weapon. They are not afraid to use them, either.

it depends how you approach keeping your gun in your house, if you use a trigger lock, or a lock box, and/or seperate your ammunition from your weapon.

keeping your gun with a round in the chamber, hot and ready to go, is stupid, and unfortunately common.

for responsible gun owners, the dangers can be minimal, where as some people keep bleach and drain cleaners under their kitchen sink, and pharmaceutical drugs in their bathroom cabinet, all of which can be as dangerous to a child as a gun.

likewise, I would not like to live in a country
where the only people in possession of guns are the criminals.

Britain which has some very strict gun laws is now finding that it maybe a neccessity to arm the police, because criminals are carrying guns and they are in danger, unfortunately most people buy weapons to defend themselves against criminals.

How would you not live here???

What part of "we dont need guns" dont you understand??

Stop comparing other countries to the US.

The chance i will find a robber in my house is relatively small, the chance that robber will have a gun with him is very, very small.

We dont need guns because we dont need to protect ourselfs from people with guns.
Try to read this over and over till your small brain understands it.

There is more than the US out there. There are countries where you can feel safe at home and on the street knowing that there arent idiots walking around with guns.

You guys problem is:

You buy a gun, why to protect you from someone who wants to enter your house with a gun.
The guy who wants to enter your house will have a gun with him..why? Because he knows the owner probably also will have a gun.

Dont you understand this? This is a phenomenon we dont experience in Holland.
You guys created it but screaming and yelling for 2 centuries about land of the free and the right to carry a gun. Look where you are now, everybody and his brother has a gun and the amount of accidents per year with guns is fucking HUGE. Are you really proud of your right to carry a gun??

You people would be better off if from day one guns wouldve been illegal. Now ofcourse its too late. Too many guns in your country to make it illegal. It wouldnt work.

why wouldn't I want to live there? I already gave my reasons.
Stop comparing other countries to the U.S? You first pal.
Your argument about criminals carrying guns because average joe six pack owns a gun is pretty comical, I already gave example of Britain who for the very same reason did not arm their police force, some parts of the country are now unmanagable by the police and the amount of criminals carrying weapons is escalating, perhaps people rob houses and stores with bananas where you come from, criminals will always have some method of protection or a show of force, like a gun.

I agree America has a huge gun problem, mostly due to idiocy, and unsafe gun practises
however I do not want a ban on guns either.
