CCbill - Next Processor to go under.

jmho, but i was right in advance about pswbilling and websitebilling.

we'll see in a year i guess.

in the mean time we'll be taking all of our processing away from ccbill as a precaution.

Veterans Day 02-18-2004 03:42 PM

:eek7

Catalinas 02-18-2004 03:44 PM

What are the reasons you think they might go under?

<IMX> 02-18-2004 03:45 PM

wow...more details on the evidence you have...

WiredGuy 02-18-2004 03:46 PM

You have any speculation or reasonings that you would name ccBill over iBill or paycom?

WG

Hooper 02-18-2004 03:48 PM

i'm just telling you that we're pulling our processing from them.

we pulled our processing from wsb about 3 months before they went under.

we pulled our processing from pswbilling about 2 months before they went under.

i'm not going to point fingers.

you should process wherever you feel most confident that you'll get your money.

gornyhuy 02-18-2004 03:55 PM

Any suggestions as to WHO you are NOT pulling your processing from? :Graucho

Strange??? I would heve picked a few other processors over them ! Is this a gut feeling ??

Sounds like YOU GUYS are bad luck for billing processors!:)

Do you plan to move some of your processing to Ibill?

Because I have a strange feeling that will be a kodak moment.

SteveLightspeed 02-18-2004 04:07 PM

I hope you are wrong this time Hooper.

I've had a very close relationship to CCbill for nearly 5 years now, as we push nearly all our processing though them. I haven't seen or heard anything that would make me believe they are next on the chopping block.

Five years of CCbill's solid support and not one missed payment has earned my trust.

SleazyDream 02-18-2004 04:10 PM

i havn't sceen any indication of problems????

justsexxx 02-18-2004 04:10 PM

What gives you this bad feeling?

Andre

Chichio 02-18-2004 04:13 PM

I agree with Steve. CCBill has always given me the impression that they always error on they side of caution. I think they'll be sticking around for quite a while. :2 cents:

JDog 02-18-2004 04:13 PM

There's gotta be good reasoning why you think CCBill will go down. We've been processing with them for a while and we haven't had any problems! I would see iBill go before any others, or maybe Jettis or some of them! But CCBill I don't see leaving anytime soon!

Lensman 02-18-2004 04:15 PM

I can't imagine CCBill going anywhere. Sometimes Hooper thinks out loud.

What would you call this thread then?

webgurl 02-18-2004 04:18 PM

very interesting , i thought if anything something like verotel would go before ccbill
CCBill for the most part seems the strongest out of ALL same with Ibill (not a big fan). The CCBill 900 new phone billing solution is a new feature worth trying as well :thumbsup
Give us more info Hooper , we are using them currently and would like to know more about your opinion

fuelcell 02-18-2004 04:18 PM

I love this "sky is falling" thread. It's so fucking amusing.

"Hi. In the past I've used WebSiteBilling and PSW. As you can see I've made some shitty decisions with regards to my processors but you can trust me when I say jump ship with CCBill."

If CCBill goes under it's over. Done. Finite. Epoch is my personal candidate for most likely to go under next 'cause they've always played loose and fast with the rules. CCBill may screw up from time to time (like right at this very second) but they are the closest thing to rock solid.

J.R. 02-18-2004 04:20 PM

This is a serious thread to start coming from you Hooper, alot
of people could follow your lead.

let's hope your wrong, in 7 years I have not seen anything
that would lead me to think CCBill was in trouble.

J.R. 02-18-2004 04:21 PM

On another note, some CCBill Sales guys are
coming to Seattle next week to meet with their clients.

We are suppose to meet with them as well.

Sosa 02-18-2004 04:21 PM

This is a very interesting thread, seems related to my "I'm looking for new sponsors (That aren't using CCBill) thread". Best of luck to you Hooper.

SR 02-18-2004 04:26 PM

you mean ccbill doesn't like your spamming practices anymore?

this is definitely a thread to watch...

Hooper 02-18-2004 04:39 PM

lol.. nothing having to do with spamming, we dont accept email traffic anymore anyways.

jmho stands for just my humble opinion.

if you choose to put your ears to the tracks and listen.. well thats your own decision.

StuartD 02-18-2004 04:41 PM

ccbill has been going through a lot of changes lately, and I've been hearing nothing but disappointment ever since.

I hope they can find their way back to how things were, for their sake and all of ours.

Theo 02-18-2004 04:42 PM

probably got declined for a hidden double cross sale :glugglug

DirtyJ_ExtendedMarketing 02-18-2004 04:46 PM

Has anyone noticed a sales decline with ccbill? retention problems? accounts showing up in the .htpasswd but not in the admin? anything? I would really like to know..

How bout with epoch? anyone?

j

Trax 02-18-2004 04:46 PM

i think its bullshit
you gotto fill your feeling with arguments

sweetcuties 02-18-2004 04:49 PM

If it's true or if it's not true... nothing is 100%! Bank as much as you can and diversify :2 cents:

BVF 02-18-2004 04:49 PM

so you're using a merchant account now? where did you move the processing?

I have noticed a problem with CCbill's handling of cookies.... they keep sending them to me at Christmas and I'm already fat enough!

(keepin it light)

Steve Lightspeed

DirtyJ_ExtendedMarketing 02-18-2004 04:50 PM

hahahah nice answer! that's what i wanna hear.. I'm going to start using some other processors and I just wanted to know if i should worry ;)

Diamond Jim 02-18-2004 04:55 PM

CCbill will be the last processor standing...

Remember who said it...

I love CCBill, have been using them pretty much since the day they started.

BUT, today, if I used them as my only processor, I would be out of business. They scrub that hard.

And I have used most every processor out there. With far less declines, far less scrubbing, and no chargeback issues.

My guess is I don't make enough money for them to lower the scrub on my account. :glugglug

Paradise Valley Porn Mafia sticks together! CCBILL has some smart guys over there, I expect them to be one of the last standing. But they should fire their tech support dept.

Hooper 02-18-2004 05:07 PM

i dont know much about their scrubbing.

but i get the distinct feeling that in the morning i might not have a ccbill account left at all, i was pretty much told that if i keep posting that i might not have any rebills left.

its cosa nostra...

TonyL 02-18-2004 05:15 PM

We have been with CCBILL for 4 years and I have nothing but good to say about them. I have billed through ALL of the other major companies over the last 8 years and they have given me nothing but problems. CCBILL will be the last processor standing. I'll put money on that.

-Tony

Hooper 02-18-2004 05:16 PM

did they pay you to post that?
