my condo is over 1400 sqare feet with a view of lake and trail, included with sauna, weight room, pool tables, tennis / squash court and pool with heavy security. Not sure where your living at 400 square feet.

SetTheWorldonFire 12-02-2003 11:39 AM

maybe their house burned down and thier car did'nt.

nah, I guess they jackasses.

Ross 12-02-2003 11:40 AM

Whats so weird about that?

Nice BMW $60,000
Nice house $250,000

I'd buy a new car first before buying a new house.

The problem with this is if you spend each $60,000 you earn on a car, when will you ever get the $250,000 saved up?

Squito 12-02-2003 11:46 AM

Got to have the car first then the house.

ask the girls they will tell u the same

buddyjuf 12-02-2003 11:47 AM

when I went to LA this is all I saw
punk ass kids driving their dads benz and BMW's, yet living under welfare, disgusting :(

radical 12-02-2003 11:48 AM

lol!! I live in a small room :thumbsup

raceman 12-02-2003 11:48 AM

Well some guys need a $60,000 BMW to pull the chicks but only one bedroom to fuck them..... so maybe this dude with the BMW and the 400 sqaure feet has it right, maybe he just lives for fucking.......

RACEMAN :thumbsup

traffictrader 12-02-2003 11:48 AM

Depends on where you live really,

a 400 sq ft apartment in Tokyo costs more than a Porsche Boxster

With $50k downpayment you could have gotten the house.
With $10k - a honda civik or something.

After some time, get a better car.

fuzebox 12-02-2003 11:52 AM

I live alone, 400sqft is almost too much space.

I love driving fast, a sports car is a necessity.

Status car? How about status pad? :321GFY

how old are you ? 16 ?

Phoenix 12-02-2003 12:00 PM

i drive a honda accord...not fancy and not flashy

i have better things to put money into besides more liablilities.

start buying assets...like rental properties if you can afford a brand new benz you can afford a down payment.

Milena Dickman 12-02-2003 12:03 PM

This reminds me of a Brazilian soccer player, back in the 70s. He started earning some serious money, bought a mercedez and started living on it, getting the girls, going to parties.

All good... untill the day he's carreer was over, he's car was out of date and he was living on the streets.

kisses,

Milena

Who gives a fuck about place to sleep, BMW rules :2 cents:

Amputate Your Head 12-02-2003 12:25 PM

some of you guys got your priorities mixed up.... a shiny BMW isn't going to increase in value like a house will. And it's not going to help you on your taxes either, like a house will.

and 400 square feet??? :eek7 My deck is 1200 sq ft.

tranza 12-02-2003 12:26 PM

I have a small car but I live in a very large house..... Do you have a problem with me also??? :helpme

He probably leased the car, most people dont pay cash for a bmw. So a lease of $500-600 a month is not that much and maybe he is a sales rep and has to take drive customers around?

He could also deal drugs?

Exactly!!!
I would rather pull up to a house with a guy in a Honda Civic than to pull up in a BMW to a small apartment. I use to live in LA and I saw it all the time, guys with these great cars living in my apartment building, which wasn't cheap, but still. It gives the impression that they are phony. Trying to be something they are not. Or they are too insecure to be themselves. You know they have to give that excuse when they bring a hot girl home, "Well, I just sold my house and I am looking for another just haven?t found the one I like." :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Darling, this goes for different people. Me personally i am not a house
kinda guy, and this goes along with any guy who doesnt have a family.

Why buy a big house where you will live alone? Id get a nice apt in NYC,
nothing big, nice view.. nice area and thats it, until i am like 30+ and
ready to get going with the family thing. :2 cents:

How does owning a nice car mean they're trying to be something they're not?

For fucks sake, a BMW isn't even that expensive of a car!

Read it again. There are two things that go together. You left out one.

Who said you had to buy a BIG house??? I am sure OWNING a nice apartment in NYC would be equivalent to OWNING a house. The point was focused on RENTING a small apartment and OWNING a status car!!

So your telling me even if am a single guy who doesnt even get to
see his own house/apt besides late nights and weekends, must
still go out and get a house or even buy an apartment?

Doesnt make any sense either.

the amount of time you spend there (or don't spend there) isn't the point... when you rent, you get nothing back from your $ other than a time limit. When you own, you're making $. Property values are not going down, they're going up.
