Why do 99% of the people offering hosted galleries play games?
 

looking around at hosted galleries in the threads about them on there - and the VAST VAST VAST majority of them play every trick, scam and popup you can think of that doesn't credit the person posting the gallery for the sale..... It was emabarising to say the least. You guys KNOW what I'm talking about - even BIG REPUTABLE programs are doing it too.

it's really sad cause some of them are actually nice galleries till you go so far as to click a sponser link on them - then you are taken to hell.

hmm... most of the hosted galleries i've been around blow ass. guess i'm not promoting the right programs.

Hosted galleries are boring, you see the same shit everywhere.

Yea a ton have 302's embedded etc but whats the alternative, cheating submitters or galleries surfers have seen a hundred times? There are more and more new sponsors popping up all the time that have fresh content.

Not to sound lame, which I am, so no need to point it out...

Are 302's a way of cheating? I think it's just a server too busy type error right?

That is relly shitty. Reputable or not, i think they should be exposed. I would never do that, god knows what else they're doing.

You're complaining about popups on the sponsor sites themselves? And there's _one_ popup, not "full of". Everyone is here to make money, not send charity your way. Once the surfer clicks a link to the sponsor site on the gallery it should be free game (within reason).

That's because of the console-free option. You decide how much you want to make.

You do, you get paid for every sale to the site that is advertised on the gallery. Exit is another story and offsets costs for almost every program in this biz. Others do it other ways (cross sells, emailing, etc) Should we pay you for upsells in the members area too?
