We don't have any pops on anything anywhere on any of our sites unless YOU choose to have them. But on the hosted galleries there isn't one anywhere. ALL codes are yours and yours alone. As you can see they are clean and not over ridden with any garbage. We had these made with TGPs in mind..... ;)

So who are those sposnors that have "Galleries" with pop-ups/console hells? Please name them cos I haven't come across any such sponsor gallery yet. Also you could prolly spare me some of that TGP rules lecture cos maybe I own more TGPs myself than you know :winkwink:

CE has been working with Webmasters very closely forever. If you ever visit our Webmaster board http://cewebmasters.com you will see that. We react very quick to suggestions, ideas, etc.

Yes - MikeB worked very closely with me about setting up a no console link for the XXX mags program on one of my TGP sites that i designed around those 234x60 CE Mag Banners. since i don't have the traffic volume of theHun or SleazyDream - i pretty much got "blown off". i've since replaced most of the CE banners with WEG banners ( who doesn't have as serious a "cut" for CF ) and i'll probably "dick up" the site design and replace the remaining ones some time soon ...

i watch my daily bookmark count as it's told to me by my stats. I know - not day to day - but month to month that the cleaner my site is the more traffic via typeins and bookmarks I seem to get. it doesn't seem to affect trades one way or the other though, and my sales don't seem to be effected by large increses in traded traffic.

in the TGP game you need to get infront of the surfer FIRST - that day. How do I know this - by my own sales and the fact that people pay HUGE dollars for the TOP/FIRST listings on TGPs and don't care about the rest. why? casue it's the first link a NEW surfer - a bookmarked or type in one - sees. - a traded surfer has sceen a ton of porn that day already and is really only good if they bookmark the site and come back another day FRESH- least that's my experience has told me and how the ENTIRE industry BUYS traffic on the most part.

but you may be right - we might all be stupid and don't have a clue what we are doing.


course if your business is about making money today at the expense of any future traffic tomorrow I'd TOTALLY agree with the idea of pounding the hell outa the traffic.

may I suggest some things?

Like Sleazy Dream says, some webmasters like them clean.. to keep a better TGP with great quality all around, and perfect navigation... such as SleazyDream.com...

But, some other TGP's out there are simply traffic traps... trying to make the best bang for the buck... in that case, having popups they'd get sales from, is a plus!

I'd suggest maybe having both options around... say two different links... then you keep the clean guys happy, but still convert better for the signup savy people ;)

It's realy amazing how much scaming there is not only on the hosted galleries but on many of the site tours as well these days, seems to me that having bad linking, putting in e-mail boxes or links not tracking your reff code is the new big sponsor thing.. Might be the much talk about shaving that made some sponsors turn to other ways of scaming...


Anyways.. This post sure helped me find new sponsors i wan't to give a try.. as well as sponsors I'll propably never even give a testrun..

To add to the discusion.. I mainly use revshare programs and in my point of view ANY money made from any trafic i ever send to that program i should have my cut..
Revshare Is a partnership and not paying for All revenue generated by me is in my opinion Cheating your partner..

To add to that.. Many programs offer webmaster refferal, but only very few seems to track refferal codes trough the webmaster link on the tours.. Why not ?? If i posted a gallery that looked good and a webmaster comes to your site becaurse of that, who then has reffered that webmaster.. Me !
Just a small scam, i know.. but still it's often small things like this that in the end may make me not use the sponsor anyways.. think about that sponsors..are those few $ saved realy worth it ?

For hosted galleries try these beauties.. No popups and no funny stuff.. and should you click the webmaster link on the sites i'm actualy getting credited for it :winkwink:

How many sponsors are doing that? Is there an easy way to test it?

(!) all the recurring programs (wcpcash, ddfcash...) have no pop-ups on the tours

None of my galleries redirect anywhere due to language settings, IP of the surfer or whatever. They just don't redirect at all

sounds like his program saves you the effort of typing in your url with the sponser hosted gallery directly................and at only 1/3 the cost of all business you generate. lol


we all know it's SOOOO difficult to sign up with hosted gallery sponsers too...........
