Correction - less than 10% of my yard has to be MOWED :thumbsup

It's the perfect "no maintenance" yard. Over 2 acres currently backing up against greenbelt, the lake and other <2 acres I'm trying to buy and it takes me an hour or so with a weed wacker every few weeks to take care of it. :1orglaugh

Of course, right now when the acorns are dropping it makes quite a racket, lol!

Here are some pictures from my first and so far prettiest fall here. All were taken from one of my decks. I love this place!!!!!

You call that a back yard? I'd go insane.

THIS is a back yard :)

Hmmm....

I can't say for certain about her house, but I can say that I'd take her yard over any yard in Southern California.........well, what passes for a yard in SoCal.

Nice Peaches!

We like the sticks too... here's a picture of part of our side yard from last fall (only time we can see through the trees)

LOL! Yes, it's very small - about 2300 sq feet (I moved from almost 4K sq feet so the Salvation Army liked me A LOT). It's a log cabin and I live in a resort in the mountains. Almost all the houses have metal roofs. :) Of course, the drawback is that you can't put a sat dish on one and end up with it in your yard - oy!

No wood stove, though I'd love one. I might retrofit one in later. No well - the lake I live on is the water source for the community and we have several pumping and treatment stations in the 800 acres we have here :)

Here are some more pics - it's not much but it's my all time favorite of any house I've ever lived in! :)

You sound like Wig from achdebit.com :winkwink:

Everytime he's here he tells me all the things I COULD do to make it look nice :) Every once in a while he admits not having to have any maintenance is nice too. :thumbsup

This was my "I don't have to live in the burbs anymore where there's a good system and I work on the internet" house :)

For years I told my son when he graduated from HS, I was moving to the woods. I closed on April 30, he graduated in June, I was moved in my July. :thumbsup

Unfortunately progress has followed me. :( I've only been here 3 years and already we are the 2nd fastest growing county in the state. Thankfully I'm tucked away from the "city" so I hope it doesn't get too bad.

But moving even further is always an option :)
