MrPopup 03-06-2003 01:03 PM

Now this on Drudge:

'According to Israel Radio, US President Bush is expected to announce the capture of arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden'...

I hate this manipulative propaganda. I bet NOTHING has happened.

They (See Mulder and Scully) are fucking with internet links now.

dantheman 03-06-2003 01:03 PM

I do think he'll be caught very soon maybe this weekend, he's got a posse hot on his ass about now :glugglug

The Porn Dude 03-06-2003 01:05 PM

I hope so my wife will sleep so much better.

ronaldo 03-06-2003 01:08 PM

Hmm. The president IS to address the nation in prime time tonight.

"I hate this manipulative propaganda. I bet NOTHING has happened."

A man that spends half his time posting leftist conspracy theories hates propaganda? Boo fucking hoo

Mark 03-06-2003 01:10 PM

Anything that happens in the world of intelligence, the 'war on terror' and the middle east in general will always be announced here first..

"Rumors swept Washington Bush would announce the capture of Osama bin Laden, whose al Qaeda group is blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, at his news conference but officials from various branches of the U.S. government said this was not true. "False," one official said."

Probono 03-06-2003 01:13 PM

BIN LADEN: DEAD OR ALIVE?

Sounds like a new reality TV show. Survivor Kabul featuring Osama and party Goat painting the town red.

ronaldo 03-06-2003 01:13 PM

Yeah, I don't see how they could keep something like this quiet.

Well, not if he's captured anyways. Maybe if he's been found dead.

MrPopup 03-06-2003 01:14 PM

This is such bullshit...I've sniffed around and the sources of information are jerusalem post, United Press International, and Drudge...

three media sources very pro-administration.

i smell fish.

Herb Kornfield 03-06-2003 01:14 PM

I hope the US DOES catch Osama. Then he can be punished for his crimes.

After that Bush will loose interest in Iraq and all the tropps come home, its all good and life rolls on.

all good out here in the snow of Brooklyn

JeremySF 03-06-2003 01:15 PM

This morning they announced that Bin Laden would soon be captured, that they had intelligence that he was near the Afghan-Pakistani border. They even mentioned the town.

My reaction was:

Are they completely stupid? Why would you announce you're about to capture him, before you capture him, eliminating the element of surprise and pretty much ensuring that he has time to escape.

Unless...

1) He was already captured

2) They are trying to fool Osama. That in fact they know where he is, and it's not near the Afghan-Pakistani border. That would give him a false sense of security, and pop, they could surprise him.

kenny 03-06-2003 01:16 PM

Its on CNN, the guy was talking. They think they know where he is

What else does he post? Oh, WWF shit. haha....

MrPopup 03-06-2003 01:17 PM

MrPopup knows before CNN and Fox feeds it to you.

Bow down information slaves.

kenny 03-06-2003 01:21 PM

I dont know, that is kind of stupid to put that on the news before the actually catch him. Now he knows to leave

Thats the funniest thing I've ever heard. Anyone who trusts anyone else for their "information" in this day and age is themeselves waiting to get exploited.

C'mon dude....how can you believe anything ANYONE says...especially when the agendas of so many different parties are beyond the concerns of you and I and our everyday life.

That is what I just saw, they said that they got sleepy head to talk

Mark 03-06-2003 01:25 PM

Even if they did catch Osama (which I doubt) it wont really make a lot of difference to the world.. the 'war on terror' will be with us for a long time.. (or at least as long as Bush is the pres. ) there will always be another certified 'bad guy' to take his place.. there's no shortage of fanatics around and there's no shortage of terrorist groups around, many that have existed long before al qaeda was ever dreamed of and many that will be here long after al qaeda is forgotten.. :2 cents:

At least they give us all some reason to watch cnn/fox/bbc etc. :winkwink:

Not sure what you're getting at here.. did I say I believe anything written there? I said that it will be announced there first which it often is, even if its not true.. its merely another source of news from a site that specializes in such matters.. feel free to read it or not, believe it or not.. either way its a more interesting read than cnn!

As for 'trusting anyone else for information' - unless you are the mossad/cia/mi6/etc agent that is on the spot when an event such as this happens you will always be trusting someone else for your info - usually cnn/fox/bbc etc. unless you know of some other more reliable way?!

Juggernaut 03-06-2003 01:34 PM

They could be doing the same thing they did with the white van associated to the sniper in Washington. Telling the public something opposite to what is happening, so they can monitor the real activity and pretty much weed out where he actually is.

I'm sure they have (by now) some pretty good information on his where-abouts. I think it would be better if they can capture him and have him face the jury, a bullet to the head isn't enough for terrorists.

No its not, its simply realistic.. defeatest would be to let it bother you and prevent you from getting on with your life.

MetaMan 03-06-2003 01:36 PM

Bin Laden is not captured,
he has had plastic surgery to look like the reincarnation of Mr.Rogers.

NEXT!

Bingo. You get it. That means you at least have the ability to discern the truth from an agenda.

99% of the population do not.

Ross 03-06-2003 01:38 PM

How come you are all saying Bin Laden has been captured and I haven't heard shit about it here?

It would have been splashed all across our TV news network!

I hope he has been captured tho just to see what America would do with him!

delia 03-06-2003 01:38 PM

I'm sorry but i think he will never be caught. And if caught killed instantly. So we won't get to see him in prison or something like that.

Thrawn$ 03-06-2003 01:40 PM

BinLaden is probably chilling in the Buch Ranch in texas

Are you telling me that there aren't a finite amount of terrorists? I thought stamping out terrorism was like bowling. You knock 4 pins dow, then you've got 6 left. Knock 3 more down, now you've got 3. Then finally you knock the rest down, and shazaam, you've eliminated terrorism.

Damn, this really changes things, doesn't it?
