lol i saw my site is down, i open a support ticket they say its up. 1 minute later the whole natnet is down :) im sure they get back online in minutes.

Looks like our DNS servers are getting DDOSed - we're working on filtering it and should be up soon

Just wanted to pop my head in and let you guys know that we are aware of the problem. The guys are working on it and hopefully it will not be long. I will let everyone know as soon as I have an update.

a dns ddos is really able to take down a whole network and thousands of servers? damn

Not sure, but i suspect it could be an option to have backup DNS servers for these occurrences, however infrequent

I dont want to jump to any conclusions yet about what it may be...even though I think our guys are the best in the business, sometimes the first idea about what is wrong turns out to be incorrect. As soon as I have something concrete I will update everyone.

ive been down for over 1hr now.. still counting..

I dont think it has been that long (I know that it can feel like it when something like this happens) but I dont have a way to tell for sure until it comes back up so I won't question you. I can only promise you that we are feverishly working on getting everything stable and it shouldn't be much longer. All of the Senior members of our staff are working on it so I am confident that we will have a resolution soon.

I am sorry for the issue...I assure you that we will isolate the problem, correct it, and then figure out how to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'm really curious what's the reason :) If it's ddos, it's rather clear why, if it's not, then someone there fucked up majorly at the worst time :)

It seems only sites using natnet's dns services are down, I have some of my dns services hosted directly at godddy and those are reachable. I can also get to my servers directly via IP. It looks like Bill's initial thoughts about their dns servers being ddos'd is prolly correct. I am sure this will be resolved quickly.

We definitely know it is a DNS issue...we are working to try to isolate the problem now. It looked like a DDOS at first, but there are some routing issues that happen from time to time that look like DDOS so we do not want to get tunnel vision fixing the wrong problem. There is an art to this that is way above my knowledge level but I have the best guys in the country working on it right now and they tell me that we are close to a resolution. I will update you as soon as I know more.

sorry is great but it doesnt pay the bills..

if you guys are truly sorry then your clients would be reimbursed accordingly without having to ask for it, right? im sure some of the big programs will lose greatly for every minute natnet is down.

Yea getting a bit frustrated now.

yeah losing sales due to downtime happens occasionally .. my fear is affiliates seeing their links not loading and then switching to another program :/
