I know it is frustrating but, as always, we will work with our customers to make this right by them. That's one thing that I am proud to say, we will go to the ends of the earth for our clients. I cannot always promise perfection but I can promise our level of commitment to our customers.

When this is all settled down we will communicate with our customers and we will do whatever it takes to make them happy.

from now on i keep all backups on a remote server, index files at least.

pussyluver 11-19-2009 09:58 PM

FYI 10:56 CST- still down. Assume this is why statsremote is not reachable too.

Everybody has problems sometime....

if you guys are truly sorry then your clients would be reimbursed accordingly without having to ask for it, right? im sure some of the big programs will lose greatly for every minute natnet is down.

I know it's frustrating as a customer, but if your income is that important you should have a backup solution in place. :2 cents: Do you hassle your $29.95/mo ISP for thousands of dollars in compensation when they go down for a couple of hours?

X37375787 11-19-2009 10:00 PM

For what it's worth, it's the first network downtime over 10 minutes in 3+ years that I have been with Natnet.

What i trace nationalnet DNS it gets to natnet @ level3 and then it starts looping...

That's correct... I'm very sorry about this but StatsRemote doesn't work if NatNet is down :(

Fortunately this is very rare... hosting with them since 1998.

If you have friendly trading partners, they should shoot ya a nice force to help ya get things going again. You could always do a quick traffic buy when things come back up to get your trades going again...

I am very happy with their service it is solid but for those that say their sites or natnet's network has never been down or very little downtime for " X "amount of years , that must be a miracle , because I been with them for less than half year and this is my 4th downtime .....

No biggie, stuff happens.... I'm sure NatNet will pull out all the stops to get things back up.

When I saw the connection problem, I went WTF is wrong with my computer/net connection now.. Some good news. This time it isn't a problem I have to tackle.

Was headed to my backup connection and my usual trouble shoot - glad i thought to stop by GFY first.

xxweekxx 11-19-2009 10:19 PM

Over 3hrs for me... ive lost about $1,000 so far due to this downtime, and counting :(

I wonder how much money guys like quickbuck who are down are losing?

scubadiver626 11-19-2009 10:20 PM

"Do you hassle your $29.95/mo ISP for thousands of dollars in compensation when they go down for a couple of hours?" Rowan, yes i do, but that's a different issue.

It's not right for customers to pay lots of money monthly and not get what they paid for. I definitely think a partial reimbursement is not unreasonable for ALL their clients.

Everyone here including Natnet is losing money.... it's a question of how much is lost?

Yeah same here, it's been a bit spotty since we switched over to Natnet 4-5 months ago, but still have faith in the service as well.

xxweekxx 11-19-2009 10:29 PM

i dont care about hosting refund.. how much is that? $1?

what im upset about a bit is i started a new campaign for some shit that was getting around $300/hr at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, then bam it goes down... and it was on the way up.. ive lost at least $1k, probably more like $2k if it doesnt come back in an hr or two...

oh wells.. time to go out and get drunk, no need waiting here for shit to come up

I guess my point was that the adult industry tends to have larger profit margins, so the cost of hosting is relatively small in comparison to income. And the host's own profit from you is a smaller percentage of that figure. So you can't really expect a host to be able to pay you 500% of your monthly fee as compensation for the $ you've lost for half a day's downtime. At some point the responsibility has to fall on the customer (eg with a hot spare at another host) because the host can only do so much, unless you want them to go broke... :2 cents:

zentz 11-19-2009 10:32 PM

good news i called a tarot master and she said natnet will come back online in 10 minutes.

AlCapone 11-19-2009 10:40 PM

I unplugged NatNet, and then I got sidetracked.

pamon 11-19-2009 10:41 PM

What kind of campaign are u running at 300/hr? Adwords or ppc related? Big money to lose then on that.
