Did you watch Barack Obama speak?
Very well done.
Articulation is something he possesses massive quantities of. Brilliant planning on behalf of the DNC and Obama's camp to have his speech delivered on the anniversary of the MLK "I have a dream" speech. Considering that Obama is a Harvard grad in law with his focus in civil rights, that was just a brilliant move. McCains only attack will be the Commander In Chief stance. I'm actually enjoying watching this stuff for once. |
Very well done and i have no problem giving him my vote on election day :thumbsup
|
We at PornNewz give a huge :thumbsup to that speech!
|
He is an incredible orator. I will be interested in watching the debates, and that is a first for me, as I have never crossed party lines on a national level.
|
It was amazing. I think the debates are going to be the deciding factor for many.
|
He did a great job..
He covered the major issues, he gave his idea about the issues, the game plan on them and then how he plans on getting the money or freeing it up. And I love how he didn't skip over the war stuff, he attacked head on what the real problem is and that the wars are different. I can't wait until the debates. |
that was one bad ass speech thats for sho! .. ... its going to be hard for McCain to top that...
Very enjoyable so far.... like most of you ... I can't wait for the debates :) |
EXCELLENT speech.. simply amazing! I like the confidence he showed tonight. Hopefully, he'll keep this up now!
|
he will be the next president of the USA mark my words!
|
It's not about him, it's about US. Well done a speech for the record books.
|
f'ing incredible - and he needs to stay on point like that to win - never back down and stay strong and the election is his.
|
he cannot take a side on any political views... but alas, I guess he's the lesser of two evils :(
|
simply amazing!!
Can you imagine him not being elected as president? Imagine the entire world watching this whole thing ... and then the US elects Mcaine... can you imagine that? Imagine how that would make us look I think the world would lose the last bit of respect it has for what it means to be America |

I loved the parts where he put faces to things like seeing his mother when he looked at a college student, etc. That helped give him the everyman touch. I also liked the common ground aspects of it...the section where he talked about the things we maybe didn't agree on, but our strength is in what we do agree on. This will probably get me laughed at, but I think there are echos of Ronald Regan in him as a speaker. And that ain't a bad thing. :) |

Have to give credit where it's due. The DNC was flawless - like a perfectly run relay race with Obama as anchor.
|
it was a SOLID acceptance speech - NOT anywhere near amazing. the setting was pretty spectacular.
the symbolism of a young black family standing on that stage - that is amazing - something even 20 years ago not thought possible. they are a very attractive family. the sad thing about this election is we will never know whether he lost it because of his color - nobody is going to admit that to a pollster. in the end his color is going to doom him - i talked to an 18 year old female American today, asked her if she was going to vote for Obama - her reply was 'no he's black' as if it was a ridiculous question to even ask. |

whatever dude, the man elected is going to be who the New World Order wants in power.. the election means nill :upsidedow like I said already, they're both clowns but Obama is the lesser of two evils |
i watched a feed online so i didn't hear any of the political pundits comments on the TV networks - what did they say about the speech?

You are being bamboozled. He speaks as well as any Baptist minister in the south... pomp and fluff to fill the pews. Obama is no Reagan. There is not one substantive comparison that can be made between the two. |

I complete agree If she made a statement like that.... she should not be allowed to breathe. hopefuly her breathing will stop in the new future and spare the world or such ignorant statements when you see her again, ask her if she has ever wondered how relaxing eternal sleep could be .... then post her picture and home address |

The problem with Socialists is they can pretty up their plans in a speech but when it comes down to hammering them for their true intentions they can not tell the truth because no one would vote for them. What I found amazing was the people in the crowd tonight cheering for more war... I sat there in amazement saying to myself, "All these people need to do is listen to his speech and he is telling you what he plans to do... listen closely". obama said (paraphrasing), "continue to protect Israel and keep Iran from getting nuclear capabilities while fighting off "Russian aggression" and preparing for "all future conflicts"." Let us not forget the Democrat party has always been the party of war... so he will merely be picking up the baton and running with it. Before the children on here say, "WTF are you talking about!! Democrats hate war!" WWI -> Wilson (D) WWII -> FDR (D) Korea -> Truman (D) Vietnam -> JFK (D) LBJ (D) ended by: Nixon Kosovo -> Clinton(D) IRAQ -> BUSH 1 & 2 (R) Democrats love a good war... as long as it is theirs. |
That s all is he is
A talker... |
does anyone know where i can get the video of obama's speech?
I missed it and want to see it. |

he made a big point that the Democrats are not afraid of war, never have been and aren't now - what he said was that when he sends a soldier to war it will be for the right reasons i.e. Afghanistan yes Iraq no as I said - because of the race issue we will NEVER know if he lost because of color or his lack of qualifications. simply because NOBODY will ever admit that race played a part in their voting decision. he may very well lose for that very reason - but because he is the first black man running for president there will always be the unaccounted factor of race. |

If there is one thing the Democrats have no problems drilling for.... it is racism. When supplies are waning... they drill for more ;) |

Mutt - Check out the voting results in the primaries. He swept the black voters.... voting solely on race. This did not happen with the whites. Whites landslided him to victory in many states when racism should indicate Hillary should have won based solely on the delusion racism is going to keep him from winning. Do not say, "Well that is because it was Democrats... They do not see color.". Democrats are the kings and queens of "victim" and "identity" politics. |

You have no clue who McCain is choosing for VP... If he picks a woman the race is over. He will win that day. You have no clue how he will do in the debates. He sucked in the most recent one. You are also ignoring that he lost a 15 point margin in the polls in 2 weeks. By ignoring all of the above, you are setting yourself up for a major let down... that you will probably blame on racism... so it is all cool anyways. |

Except you're dead ass wrong and McCain will get slaughtered. |

The video montage that told his story was pretty well done.
I was worried about the setting as it was made well before the attacks on him as being a "celebrity" but they filmed it tight so it never looked overwhelming. Although the fireworks at the end seemed over the top. My only question is, say he wins, can he live up to the promise? Can any man? Business and greed are so entrenched in government that I wonder if no matter what he achieves, it will be a let down. Believe it or not, he still has a very uphill battle, but if he pulls it out I will have hope for America, not because of him, but because it will show people have learned from the past and are ready to start something new and put that post 9-11 fear mongering behind us the same way the Germans did post WW2. McCain actually put out a classy ad today congratulating Obama. He said something like "We'll go back at it tomorrow, but tonight, job well done" referring to being the first black nominee. |
i love watching him speak.
