Why do you support sites like this that are ripping off your fellow webmasters?

Just parking my sig here for a minute....

After Shock Media 10-01-2007 05:35 PM

Wait is there gunna be a dodgeball game?

Sides, huh?

Someone fill me in, or hell guess I might have to enlarge picture and figure it out assuming I can.

After Shock Media 10-01-2007 05:38 PM

Umm are Python and Adultpaymaster the owner of the offending banners on that site?

If so why would there be dodge ball, or picking sides for red rover?
Wouldnt it be more like a game of smear the queer, with both of them holding the ball?

Weak weak reply. Somehow I'd expect better from you. I guess I was wrong.

waiting for an answer

WiredGuy 10-01-2007 07:41 PM

Did you even bother contacting the sponsors to notify them before making this thread? Chances are they don't even know about these sites.

That's a good point however at the same time sponsors are responsible to know what and how their affiliates are promoting them.

Obviously i'm pissed at anybody funding content thieves. Our stuff is ripped really bad and it's unbelievable how easy it is for these people to not only get away with it but make money from it as well and also how hard it is to get anything done about it.

Its really difficult to police thousands upon thousands of pages with nothing more than a referral url for those programs that even store that information. I don't think most of these sponsors have the manpower to look at all these pages for the obvious offenders that they rely on abuse complaints to do it. Not to mention the obvious bait and switch pages during business hours or other devious tactics. If these people are stealing content, they'll find a way to cover their tracks as well.

Here is my official statement:

If you support APM and are bothered by this, then vent. I will listen to your concerns, and then make a decision based on the webmasters that support us. Until I hear enough legitimate concerns from our supporters, those banners are staying.

gecko 10-01-2007 09:47 PM

So are you saying you support stolen content but you will change your mind if your webmasters dont like it?

So after looking at screenshots showing Shane's World and Lightspeed Cash content being distributed illegally alongside your banner, that's the stance you're going to take? Looking forward to representatives from those companies seeing this thread.

That's a pretty weak position.

There's one legitimate concern here that we all share and so should you. You are helping to fund content theft. Is that not enough of a concern?

I don't consider it weak. As far as content goes, we do our part. We support content providers, by buying shitloads of their product. We don't shoot our own. Never have. I'll be back tomorrow. Still waiting to hear from our webmasters.

Aussie Rebel 10-02-2007 02:32 AM

So because you pay Content Producer A for content, you feel it's okay to put money in the hands of people stealing from Content Producer B?

Python has been pointed out for advertising on such sites for a long time. I'm pretty sure that not only do they know, but they're also actively pursuing such advertising channels.

Damn, you'r one dumb fuck.

Shap 10-02-2007 05:46 AM

Exactly what I expected. Unbelievable how many pieces of shit are in our industry.

It really sucks to be Timbo. The only people he can get to promote his crap are content thieves. It must suck to try and be a big baller yet not have enough money to get real affiliates or produce your own content.

Straight from the horses mouth. It's too bad that the majority of idiots like Timbo don't understand a simple principle of long term success... Honesty.

lol, looks like you were raised to think that sex is dirty, and it worked.

If porn is soooo bad, why do you ALWAYS become the whore in every thread pushing porn sponsors, and promoting products that steal from everyone else that makes money online.

Phoenix 10-02-2007 06:34 AM

kretons

all you fucknuts together couldnt push as many joins as any of the places those banners are....everyone on gfy is a useless fucknut

That being said....if anyone has content on those pages..im quite sure APM would help them to get it off....they arent out to steal from anyone...but sales are going to be had,, why not have them....if you have content and you see it on the samer page as them..contact the rep you work with at APM and im sure the offending content can be taken out

now i go back to work....check me next month when i make another post

this board is fuckin useless

While I have no issue with the people of Python, and in fact get along with most of them at least in passing, I would have to say that if there has been a somewhat questionable way to make traffic in the past, Python was always all over it. It doesn't surprise me in the least to find python on torrent or tube sites. It would fit pretty well with all of their past choices.

That being said, I could hope that that when they see threads like this they think a little bit about what they are doing.

fuckingfuck 10-02-2007 06:56 AM

I don't understand how they hope to make a few bucks with their shitty sites from torrent sites. Who on earth, downloading full films from torrent sites, will signup to their (once again) shitty sites?
