Is Chris from SplitInfinity okay? His partner says he lost his eyesight last night?
 

Does anyone know if this is true?

He owes me money, hasn't paid me a dime for split.com, and now his partner tells my partner that "Chris lost his eyesight on the way to wire your [my] money" last night.

I really really hope he's okay, but I feel like I've been completely made a fool of, again and again.

To those messaging me, this is no joke. I'd like to know if it's true that Chris went to the hospital last night after losing his vision.

This was after he spent the whole day telling me "I'm just on my way to the bank" after a month of "I don't have $5k! I'll have it next week!"

I hope it's not true, but the drama with this guy has been second to none, period.

Even if it's true, it's already too late, that's the thing. I spent a month listening to this guy's excuses about how a company like his couldn't come up with a measly $5k to pay the first month's lease payment.

If I posted the excuses, all of you would snicker. My partner has 'em all saved up.

Actually it is true, he did spend the night in the hospital because of his vision. Anything else in this topic, should be discussed with him.

I heard he has Bird Flu.

Too late. I don't like being made a fool. He gave me his word that I would be paid BEFORE the end of March, and he broke his word, time and again.

Personally, I wish him the best for his recovery. Business-wise, time's up.

I know Chris is a good guy and well liked.

But he wasted my time, energy and traffic, and didn't follow through on payment despite lots of time. I take contracts seriously.

When a business cannot raise $5k to meet its obligations, it doesn't bode well.

but give Chris a shot to make things right, he's a good guy from most accounts that I know of...and the few times I've met & interacted with him he came off as a nice and straight forward guy....

It is true about him losing his vision, but even so why post it on the board? If you have issues deal with the person personaly not over a board, when the person in question cant even defend himself because he is sick.

Whether he was sick last night or not is not the issue. He didn't pay me OVER 30 DAYS AFTER HE SIGNED THE CONTRACT. All the rest is details.

If he had come to me and said "I don't have the money" I would have said "I understand. I'm not thrilled, but I understand."

Instead and he jerked me around and around. I asked him point blank if he wanted to get out of the deal and he said 'no' and the merry-go-round continued.

If anything this public spanking will prevent him from doing this to anyone else. I gave him many opportunities to avoid just such a spanking.

Repeat: don't blame the victim. I tried to accommodate him, but he made a fool of me.

Enough. I'm going to dinner.

By the way, Chris, the only way I turn the dns back is if you have someone paypal me $5k.

In the meantime, the name is back up for sale.
