I told logicbank from day one that I didn't think I would be making the first installment until later and the reply was "yes, there is flexibility". That was
said and acknoweledged. Then of course, it wasnt acceptable to DomBuyer
so everything went south from there on with him and his opinion about it.
The point is I was upfront with logicbank (the person DomBuyer hired to work this deal and handle it).... So then why when I say I wont be making the first payment
until later is this not ok to do so when agreed upon ahead of time?
My personal feeling is that there was a lack of understanding between the three of us.
DomBuyer perceived it his own way, yet it was logicbank and I talking about it.
I went to the bank, did what I had to do and had the bank fax the papers to logicbank.
Of course he wasnt there when the fax came in, so DomBuyer knew nothing about it.

was going to pay it at the very end of the month, which I did execute. I sent 10k total. You already got 4k of it, that I could not stop. 2 Wires went. One is being held pending you and I coming to terms. You can call Beau at the BOFA Clairmont mesa branch to see that I called him and had him try to hold them both. He told me that
one is most likely out of their hands already and the other he might be able to hold.
You may be getting the other 6k, but I asked them to try to hold it because of this mess.

If business is business he should have handled the complaint he had like a business.
Posting this to the board is not a business method any legit business would use,
especially for a mixed up agreement like this one. This is not a personal prod to you DomBuyer, just my opinion whether you share it or not. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

The reason for paying him later than orginally discussed was not because we dont have money, so quit posting that non-sense. The reason was that I just spent a crapload of money on equipment to further our network space and power. At
the time, I just did not feel comfortable making the payment.. thats about it.
I'm like any business owner in that regards. Being that we spent over 100k, until
our merchant banks processed our batches, I didn't want to send additional money out. I told logicbank about this from day 1.

In the end, logicbank is a smart guy, who is very good at processing things like these deals. DomBuyer apparantly has a good reputation around as well. Fact is, so do I.
Getting in pissing matches on the boards is very unattractive to everyone involved
no matter what your positioning is. Many people get hurt in the process, even the noobs that post to increase the drama end up with a stigma attached to them.

I dont agree with the fact that the beginning of this thread was an attempt to
humiliate me personally and make a serious health issue I had a public item.
My anexitey attack was draining mentally and physically. I lost my eyesight for
about 3 hours and it was very scary for me. Basically I had a major migrane
headache and it caused my eyesight to go completely blurry and then out.
I thought I was going blind, and it was so scary that I got disoriented
WHILE DRIVING and it caused a major anxiety attack.... Im sure you can imagine the rest.

Anyhow, that has never happened to me before, and I don't ever wish it on others.
In fact, if it happened to anyone here, I would never play it out on the boards like that. Again, thats just how I would do it, others can do how they like.

At the end of reading this thread, I asked one of our guys if we hosted with Split Infinity, and we don't. We have several hosting accounts, so I am not always sure. Anyway, I probably would have suggested moving that account if we would have had one. You say you had the money to pay it, but just didn't feel comfortable doing so. That was wrong. Then, you bash DB (who I don't know, nor do I have ANY association with) for being upset, and bringing this out publicly. That was wrong. THEN, you say you are not going to pay him money that you already owe him. Not money for future payments, but money YOU ALREADY OWE HIM. You seem to have many friends, and supporters, which means you are probably a very nice guy. But, business being business, I am sure that the next time I am looking for a host, SI will not be on the list. The only reason I am bringing this to your attention, is to possibly save you from losing any more future business. The best thing for you to do at this point, personally and professionally, is to pay what is already owed. This, of course, is just the opinion of what was a potential customer.

Sorry about your hospital visit...I am sure it was extremely scary, and I wish you the best of health in the future. :thumbsup

I will make it my full time job to go after you for the full amount agreed upon in the contract to teach you a lesson in both professionalism and the power of agreements.

If I have to pay the lawyers $20k to get that full amount, I won't bat an eye. Principle is very important to me. You make a deal, you follow through.

More than anything else, you've made this worse for yourself by continuing to blame me for wanting money for the domain you contracted to buy, and benefitted from (without paying).

I hope you come to your senses and work out a deal. Why none of your friends haven't taken you aside to slap some sense into you as your business goodwill walks out the door is a mystery to me.

As I said in the other thread, I now think that you threw a hail mary with this, buying the domain on time and reputation, and praying that by the time you had to make the first payment, you would have garnered enough traffic and publicity to make it worthwhile.
