Post-Tsunami - Tourists... Wow.. (pics)
Guess those tickets weren't refundable :disgust
damn what is wrong with them..
Pretty scummy
wouldnt you feel compelled to help out
pretty sad :(
thats amazing
First off, How do you know they havent helped out? Theyre obviously stuck there from vacation, and maybe just taking a break.
Second of all, with all that disease floating around, I would be staying as far away from the garbage as possible. You people are morons. |
uhhhhhhhh.... riiiiiiiight
you can see the disgust on the lady's face in the last pic
Most of The countries survive on tourism, they are practicaly begging people who have holidays booked to come it it's at all possible and spend as much as they can.
That's so sad, especially the two that are having beer on the beach. I don't think that's normal behavior.

It looks kind of fucked up.
However, I'm sure those who depend on the tourism industry are taking their money with a big smile :2 cents: |

exactly! while i personally don't think i would be able to sunbathe there at this moment, the tourism is what keeps the survivors working and the economy afloat. |

They give their support by creating work places and spending their money. All those countries are begging tourists to come back. |

Mind you - it makes you wonder about those that'd want a holiday there and could relax with all that around them. But then like someone else said, it could also be relief workers taking a couple of hours break. |
That has to be a photoshop.
One of those chops made to spread to the masses and possibly gain TV exposure. We'll see shortly. |

Not a God damn thing. Do you think this is the first time this shit has happened? "Thirteen significant Pacific-wide tsunami have reached Hawai'i during the last hundred years or so, resulting in tragic and sudden loss of life and millions of dollars in property damage. Locally generated tsunami may also threaten the islands, caused by earthquakes or submarine landslides. In Hawai'i, tsunami have caused more deaths than earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and hurricanes combined." http://www.hawaiischoolreports.com/nature/tsunami.htm |

Some people have thick skins I guess! |
what Apache said - by staying they are helping the local economy

Well actually I saw on the news that thier governments were encouraging tourists to come. The tourism industry is about the only thing that keeps thier economy going and they said that 98% of their hotels/resorts were up and running so tourists should not shy away.
