I think god is like santa claus for adults. Some people need comfort knowing that there is a god and they will never "really" die. I dont believe in any of that shit. Back in the day of the Romans there was no formal form of government so they used scare tactics to keep people in line. Thats where the bible came from. :2 cents:

He was living in any alley behind this bar I frequent. We had a lengthy conversation.

Do I believe in God? No.
Do I believe in a greater power? No.
Do I believe that no matter what I choose to do, I didn't really choose to do it, that my life is pre-destined to go a certain way? No.
Do I believe in organized religion? Of course I do, I see it and its impact on society every day.
Do I believe in spirituality? To an extent, however, I do not believe that it is anything more than the human spirit in need of an outlet.
Do I believe in anything? Yes, a great many things.

Simply put, I believe that as long as you do not try to stifle me and direct my life along your religious, moral, or spiritual beliefs, we'll be just fine. I don't insist that you believe my way; do not insist that I believe yours.

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The teacher was going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. He just doesn't exist.
