Golly gosh Webby, we can't have healthcare in the U.S.! People might get healthy and not run up ridiculously high hospital bills!

Insurance companies would crash. That would leave no excess capital for the govt. to borrow against to pay off the exorbitant costs of protecting us from harm.

Someone told me a pack of Marlboros goes for like $10 a pack in Europe. For them prices I better not hear of anybody dyin' of cancer cause it's too expensive to smoke.

But really, the US treats gasoline like it's water. The hybrid electric cars really should be the standard in this day and age.

UNLESS you're a felony offender in a prison, or an illegal alien immigrant.

If you're a taxpaying citizen who obeys the law you're too much in debt to pay for medical attention so your best bet is to leave the country, enter illegally, commit felony and do 3 years in a prison where your optical and dental are paid for by everbody else who is too stupid to do what you just did. You can also get a college degree too!

As a matter of record, there is a severe US problem in this world, not just with Europe. This ranges from a series of very bad "relationships" to a totally fucked economy, which, in a few short years, other nations will own 40% of the total US economy.

There's probably someone boarding a plane to do this right now. There are lots of treatments for lots of different medical conditions that aren't approved yet in the US, but are in Europe.

Even small countries which were wartorn till recently are now producing specialist treatment never before seen.

In America - If you can't pay for it - You are dead -

In Europe, if you can't pay for it - You are looked after -

My examples:

1. I had asthma as a child and told about 4 different doctors that I thought I had it 15 years ago. Allergy testing proved I probably did. I was not confirmed that I had it til a year ago when my new Female doctor who does not play the system game agreed and started treating me.

2. My daughter was denied getting her back checked out 3 years ago because of the system. Daughter now wears a back brace.

3. My hub has been giving the run around for years and told nothing wrong. Wrong. Brain tumor in his pituitary gland. Probably been there for atleast 20 years.



I could go on and on about the fuck ups.

Gotta agree with you! There are many excellent docs, but the system fails em badly. Add to that the incestuous relationship between politicians and the "drug cartels" - none of that is in the interests of anyone in the US or "taking care" of folks.

Hell.. even the fish in rivers are high on prozac and got a dose of birth control pills :-)
