First of all a small introduction:
Yes i am an anon. And i will keep it that way. What you need to know is that i have worked for the biggest companies in adult. I will be revealing some baffling inside information on some of them later on. Intel that will amaze you, that will show how many hypocrits there are in this scene.
A couple of years ago i started a filelocker website, which today is one of the top 5 filelockers in the world.
Am i biased. Yes i am. I am a rat, yes i am. Am i a hypocrit, yes i am. You will not be able to hurt my feelings by posting i am: I know i am.
My reasons for going public with a lot of behindthescenes facts are not important for now.
I will start slowly, by asking the piracy-hero Adultking some questions. Lets see if he will be able to answer them, or ignore them. Ignoring them will however show us something interesting. Either way, this thread will be a win if you support him or not.
Adultking, please think about your answers carefully.
Lets see some quotes and ask some questions:

True.
Could you give us an overview of that top 5 according to you?
Could you give us, per site in that top 5, who is the official owner or company owning them?
Do you have, or did you ever hear, or did everyone ever give you, information on IF one of those is owned by Manwin?
Did you accept donations of any owner of a filelocker before?

Yes tubes have lots of free porn, however how much of that is infringing ? You can't say, because you don't have a clue.
|
Please explain how nobody else can have a clue, but you do. How do you check and analyze your data. What websites do you use to doublecheck your data? Is this private information you get from someone, or is it tools everyone can use, and if so, please show us what tools are being used to check your data between lockers and tubes.
Could it be possible that you are ignoring the fact that copyright owners actively search for their content on filelockers, but far less actively on tubes? Could this fact skew your data?
Could it be possible that the impact by tubes is WAY higher to program owners and affiliates promoting membership sites, because the target audience does surf more actively for porn and most of the porn surfers are not looking to download porn, but instead want to stream it and wank off not leaving a trace?
[QUOTE]You have a rather primitive understanding of the ways in which infringement can be detected, but that's good, you don't need to know how it's done.[QUOTE]
Why don't we need to know?
You have been big on posting about how you do this all for the good cause. Nonprofit even? So why withhold these methods. Instead you could share them with everyone and give yourself a break, and have everyone helping themselfs fight piracy?
Or would this hurt your nonprofit company?
You have been posting about a team of people helping you. Even a legal team. They are all working for free too? Is ANYONE in your team funded by another, third party, company not owned by you?

I've said it time and time again, nobody influences what we do.

Is this really so. I doubt it. Why not spend an hour less a day on trying to go after some petty forums and instead start spending that hour on for example a tube owned by Manwin. I am sure you know of one. You could shut up everyone doubting you today. Why not just do it?
Talking about forums: You have been attacking Simon, according to you the owner of some big adult forums that share links to porn on filelockers. Are you 100% sure that sharing links to lockers is in fact illegal? Are you sure it is illegal in the country the forum owner lives in? Instead of attacking forums where links are being shared, shouldnt you go after 1 tubesite at least? Attacking a forumowner that might have nothing to do with stealing content or uploading content to a filelocker seems somewhat strange to me if you keep telling you dont have time to attack even 1 tube.
What about sites trading traffic with other sites that host or embed stolen content. Are you going after them like with the forums?
What about plugrush, yes plugrush, a service offering to buy and trade traffic from websites filled with stolen content (hosted and/or embedded).
Are the owners of plugrush not the same owners as for example camelstyle.net and others similar to that? Do you know anything about this? Just asking.

We have limited resources and a huge problem to work on. How would you do it ?

Drop the silly attacks on forums sharing links, go after the filelockers, and add at least 1 tube owned by manwin. This will boost your credibility and get you a lot more sponsors.
Seems easy no?

I am still doing this on my own dime and my own effort.
We also have people who have contributed time and money voluntarily.
There is a core group of people working behind the scenes, around the clock, shutting down piracy and every week Nautilus posts more sites terminated or completely offline as a result.
Why should I bear the entire cost of shutting down the piracy problem affecting rights holders ?
We are not making money, we set fees for represented rights holders to help us recover costs but we're a long way from recovering the costs of this campaign.
I have contributed more than anyone to this project and you have no right to question anything as you are not a contributor and you are not in our constituency.

Oh really. So there we have everyone in your team working as a volunteer?
Or are people being paid by you? Or are they in fact employees of a third party company that you can use from time to time in trade for something? Who exactly are these employees. Im sure you are not going to give us names, but can you tell them if they are all inhouse? Could it be that some of them, or all of them, you have never seen in real life?
Why should you not bear the information? If everyone is such a gooddo-er im pretty sure you can lay out the numbers here.

Completely ignoring the evidence posted here showing that file lockers are a serious piracy problem.
I'd like them to put their real name to their flawed arguments, however we all know they won't.

Why would they?

Please show us how you collect this data. Seriously, share with us how you gather the numbers on which you base your arguments.

Again, it suits you to push this point of view, what you are saying is that we are unable to act independently without fear or favour. We are beholden to nobody. You can repeat your groundless accusations time and time again, they're completely untrue.
|
And you know this firsthand? You contacted all of these tubeowners and they have shown you their licenses? Or are you basing this all on those numbers you gather from 2nd hand sources?
It suits you to push your POV as well. Maybe there is a hidden agenda here?
I am awaiting your response patiently.
