You are right but its not going to change when it costs almost a billion dollars to be come president. I had heard some little shit congress race is now 5 million. That money has to come from somewhere. We will never see a Franklin or a Teddy or an IKE in our lifetime because of that.

You need to brush up on facts.

PBS does not own Sesame Street. In fact, it only pays $1.5 million a year to license it.

I didn't say they owned it. The point was, with its popularity, commercials can support PBS instead of tax payers...

PBS also has numerous fund raisers and auctions to generate donations..
If people want it, they should support it.

The bigger point is crying about PBS highlights the lack of a real fiscal plan, nitpicking over a nickel when you could save a dollar dealing with the bigger problems.

The fact that neither Romney nor Obama is talking about prosecuting the very same Wall Street criminals who tanked the economy tells me that there's no significant difference between either of them.

They're both deep in Wall Street's pocket.

Where they do differ however is on the "small" things.

Small things such as middle class taxation, women's rights, bible thumping and . . . prosecuting so called "obscenity".

That's why I'll never understand why anyone in this business would choose to vote Republican.

The republican fiscal plan is posted at 1000's of places online. The cornerstone is not PBS or Planned Parenthood funding. They are just a few that were quoteworthy.

Do any of those 1000s of places online, show specifically where the 20% tax cuts would come from, and how the tax increases on the wealthy will be offset so that they don't actually end up paying more?

Romney's point was that it was an example of a waste of tax payer money, not that it was a major one. My original point was that Democrats as usual were taking what he said and twisting it into he "wants to get rid of pbs" bullshit!

How is it twisting it when it's pretty specific that it is exactly what he wants to do? It's straight from his mouth, and it isn't taken out of context. He wants to stop funding PBS, period.

PBS can sell commercials. Not funding PBS with tax money is not getting rid of PBS. PBS can fund itself.

The point is big or small, things need to change to get this country out of debt. 1,000 small things add up to being a lot. ask program owners and affiliates that have many websites, one may only make a couple thousand a month but when you add them all together they are making good money.
