HOw Obama feels about the GOP
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thetic...o-slamming-gop
"I said, 'You want to repeal health care? Go at it. We'll have that debate. But you're not going to be able to do that by nickel-and-diming me in the budget. You think we're stupid?'" the president said. Obama also complained about GOP attempts to attach a bill to the resolution to fund the government that would defund women's health services provider Planned Parenthood. "Put it in a separate bill," the president said he told House Speaker John Boehner and his staff, CBS reported. "We'll call it up. And if you think you can overturn my veto, try it. But don't try to sneak this through." The president also made clear he is no fan of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the GOP's Budget Committee chairman. "When Paul Ryan says his priority is to make sure... he's just being America's accountant and trying to be responsible-- this is the same guy that voted for two wars that were unpaid for, voted for the Bush tax cuts that were unpaid for, voted for the prescription drug bill that cost as much as my health care bill--but wasn't paid for," Obama said. Wait, I thought the healthcare bill saved money, Barry is saying it cost money now? |
Where in the article did it say the healthcare bill would or wouldn't save money?

In that statement, he says it will cost Something that you have been going on and on about how it will save money |

That doesn't mean it also doesn't cost money, of course it costs money, just less. And yep, I've been saying it will save money, I've never said it wouldn't cost us money. |
If I spend a 100 a month on a bill, and get it down to 75... I'm saving money but I'm still spending money.
Pretty simple logic to follow. |

Pay attention to this..... "but wasn't paid for," Obama said."
That's Obama saying the healthcare bill is paid for, unlike what Paul introduced which just one part of it costs more than the entire healthcare bill. |

The director of the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the health care reform legislation would cost, over the next ten years, $115 billion more than previously thought, bringing the total cost to more than $1 trillion. quote from Obama "My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." |

I would still support this bill if it cost 1 trillion a year and was 100% funded by taxing us to death..... so the cost going up slightly over 10 years, is nothing.

But that is slowly changing back to the way it was, as Americans start to see the right for what they really are in this Country, extremists. |
if the gop gets elected in 2012 i'll be waiting to see vendzilla's 180 degree change and support everything they do, no matter how stupid. though i kind of doubt they will..

You guys are gonna be proper fucked by the Obamacare.
|
You are completely misreading the line vend.
He is saying that medicare part B wasn't paid for in the legislation. He isn't saying anything about wether or not obamacare will save money. |
Anybody know of a source that compares the costs of Medicare Part B and the Affordable Care Act?
It's a tough search - surely somebody must have placed the costs of the two side by side. |
Obama babama

Good, it's nice seeing this side of him. Remember before when everyone was saying Obama was too nice, and too much of a pussy to take a stance on anything? Looks like he's learned. :)

If you look at your insurance/medical costs now as a tax and compare it to other countries socialized medicine tax, our costs in America are extremely higher with how we do it now... the collective is what makes insurance costs go down right now and it's why those countries have lower costs than we do. I lived in Canada as well, paid taxes, etc.. used the healthcare system, zero complaints at all about it. Service was equal to the States, care was just as good... both sides pay either way but it was in Canada that I didn't have a co-pay or a bill when I left. |

it's funny when you think logically, I mean either it cost money or it saves money, Obama said it cost as much as Bush's prescription drug bill and I remember everyone that's obama's little buddies on here bringing up what that cost, how's that crow taste?

I figure comparing the prescription drug bill, Medicare Part B, with obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, is fair enough. you can only do it in theory tho, nobody really knows what the affordable care act is actually going to cost, how it will perform in real life. |

lots of young people voted for him who do want to change America ie gay marriage, marijuana laws even drug laws period etc |

http://news.cnet.com/8301-11128_3-20021624-54.html http://www.greentechmedia.com/articl...aga-Continues/ Those Who Forget History Are Doomed to Repeat It. Obama wants to raise taxes on the rich, that was done during the great depression and 8 years later, what saved the economy was borrowing money for the war effort and increasing manufacturing 50% , getting people to work. So get rid of NAFTA and give tax incentives to get manufacturing jobs here in the US Quote:
You always prove what I think of you in every thread, congrats!!! |

So then you are all for govt spending to get the economy moving? As far as forgetting history or maybe you were still in a crib, Clinton raised taxes on the rich and the economy boomed, why? Because rather than hoarding money and paying taxes on it people will do whatever they can to avoid paying high taxes which means businesses will buy new equipment for write offs, hire more people, spend more in advertising, etc. If you ever ran a business that made a lot of profit you would understand that concept. |
Quote:
This is only complex because you choose to twist the facts in your own mind.. |
Quote:
For Obama to increase manufacturing, build a war machine basically, he would have to dump trillions of cash into our economy - you do understand that that's what happened during the great depression right? Removing NAFTA isn't going to save our nation, it isn't going to supply jobs, it isn't going to help - no idea why you keep bringing it up, but clearly you're way off base on what you think it does. Quote:
Let's pretend he did say it, why analyze it to the negative simply because Obama said it? Clearly nobody would mean it to fuck the Country over as you pretend that it means.. |
