biggest FUCK YOU to epass EVER! biggest JOKE i've ever heard

im am totally raging right now and i am so pissed on myself for not listening to all the epass-haters.

i never had a problem with them TILL NOW.

a few days ago i wanted to log on my account to check my balance to find it "FROZEN FOR SECURITY PURPOSE"

so i ask michael on icq why it is closed.

a few hours later he can tell me it was closed BECAUSE PIMPIN_J scammed people

i was like WTF has this to do with me

he: because you recieved payments from him

at this point i should have told them to GFY.

but i was dumb enough to be calm and send them my id and docs like needed to "reactivate my account"

so today i icq michael again to ask when i can use my account again and guess what i hear:

Michael (ePassporte) (08:52 PM) :
I am sorry but you have to agree to pay back the money you recieved from pimpinj2
Which amounts to $1,165

me(08:52 PM) :
WTF?
me (08:52 PM) :
where to

Michael (ePassporte) (08:53 PM) :
To his account.
There they will be used to payback the money he stole using stolen credit cards.
me (08:53 PM) :
but this is insane !!!
now i am the idiot?
Michael (ePassporte) (09:04 PM) :
I will have more have more information later today when I hear back from my boss.
me (09:04 PM) :
i wont pay one fucking cent
me(09:08 PM) :
you are still there?
Michael (ePassporte) (09:08 PM) :
I am.
me (09:08 PM) :
you don't need to ask your boss
me (09:08 PM) :
close my account
me (09:08 PM) :
im done with epass
me (09:08 PM) :
this is not a proper way of handling things
me(09:08 PM) :
im a customer who did nothing wrong
me (09:09 PM) :
i paid fees
me (09:09 PM) :
i don't want to have money with an organisation treating a paying customer that way
Michael (ePassporte) (09:09 PM) :
I understand and I am sorry I can't do more for you.

now tell me this isn't a fucking JOKE???

on a side note: thanks to michael for your time and support. seems like you are the only professional part of epass.

dougeetx 08-08-2007 12:26 PM

Snake Doctor 08-08-2007 12:38 PM

that's fucking ridiculous

Sosa 08-08-2007 12:42 PM

epass has always been a joke

PMdave 08-08-2007 12:46 PM

my rule: use diferent accounts to recieve from sponsors and people you know and trust and a diferent one for "random idiots"

rvincent 08-08-2007 12:46 PM

use ePass to get your sponsor payment and as soon as you have some money on your acct spend it or retrieve it via ATM.
Don't ever use ePass for anything else and you should be safe.

Theo 08-08-2007 12:46 PM

when activating funding by CC dont you have to check your bank account for a security code in order to verify it? How did he do that?

p1mpdogg 08-08-2007 12:47 PM

bump and a big fuck you to epassporte

KimJI 08-08-2007 12:50 PM

Its probably Visa that wants the money back, so do you expect them to pay out of their own pocket?

Of course I would want them to go after PimpingJ since they have his private address, but since you received the money, and the money "was fake" or what you call it - then they can do what they did.

Its like if you buy a stolen TV and the cops find out. They will take the TV and you don't get your money back. Its of course hard for you to know that these money was stolen, but its the risk you take when dealing with people like that.

Im sorry. Your situation SUCK - agree, but Epass did what they can and should do.

I have had my visa debit card stolen before and charged on....the bank ate the fees and went after the thief, I got my money back within 2 days

epassporte should be eating the charges, plain and simple, it was their fault for accepting the stolen card and allowing that much money to be charged on it

tranza 08-08-2007 12:58 PM

Aren't we paying all the fees to cover this fraud costs??

nico-t 08-08-2007 01:06 PM

wow..... that really fucking sucks. Thats the most illogical way of dealing with a scammer.

The difference here is he received stolen money. If you received stolen or laundered money on your bank account, you would have to pay it back as well.

Epass is more a processor than a Bank. A bank, by law, have to refund you the money and go after the thief if money is stolen from you.

If you did a paypal/epass exchange, you can go to Paypal and they will have to give you your money back.

It sucks, but Epass just followed the law.

I just wich that Epassporte would call people up when they froze their account

collegeboobies 08-08-2007 01:08 PM

Yeah fuck epass I used to get $20k a month through them but not worth the stupid risk.

No, you would not have to pay it back if you received stolen money for doing a service. How many dollars of stolen money every day is spent at Wal-Mart?

Not really.
As I mentioned before its like if you buy a Stolen TV and the cops find out. Even if you dont know it was stolen, the cops will come and take the TV, without you getting any of the money you payed for it back.

Its simply the way the laws are

BlackCrayon 08-08-2007 01:12 PM

sounds like its a very bad idea to have anyone but yourself open an account for you.

wait...he didn't even create the account. just payments from him. thats pretty crazy. epass seems to make up the rules as they go along? i use them almost daily and love the service but if this happened to me i would be freaking out on them.

If someone steals money from a account or anywhere else and transfer it to you, even if its as payment for a service, you WILL have to pay it back. At least that is the laws here in Europe. I can't speak for the Americans.

seeric 08-08-2007 01:13 PM

so pimpin_j is a confirmed scammer now?

With all the car accident webmasters have, Insurance must be damn high for our profession

M0nk 08-08-2007 01:18 PM

well i guess I´ll be doing no bizz with that pimpin_j guy.....

xmas13 08-08-2007 01:23 PM

Fuck Epassporte

Dagwolf 08-08-2007 01:24 PM

Oh, jeez.. Not saying yor situation doesn't suck but the guy paid you with "play money"... non-existent funds. It's pretty much like what happens if you accept a bad check; your bank might credit the money to your account, but if the check bounces YOU are the one who owes the bank.

That said, I'm going to be more careful wfrom whom I accept payments from in the future.

p1mpdogg 08-08-2007 01:27 PM

my wife just had $1800 stolen from her wellss fargo acct via online into another country. wells fargo paid her back the 41800.00

its called good business and keeping customers.

epass must be too small time to handle $1200 and keeping a good customer for years to come.

who 08-08-2007 01:27 PM

I've never heard anything good about epass. I remember when it was invented and I wanted no part of it. I'm sorry for every single epass customer who has had to put up with that company's retarded business ethics.

nope, that is not how it works here

I had a LONG talk with my bank about this when they informed me that they wouold have to eat the money they lost from the credit card being stolen

they are responsible for that money, and even though they can try and "ask" for the money back that they are out, they almost never get it back...the BANK loses the money

Dagwolf 08-08-2007 01:28 PM

The guy paid you via ePassporte with a stolen card, so ePassporte gave the money to you.

Now ePassporte has had to return the stolen money to wherever it came from; now you must return the stolen money to ePassporte. After which it becomes your unpleasant responsibility to try to collect it from the thief.

Violetta 08-08-2007 01:31 PM

pimpinj is the bad guy here... not epass.

mrkrabs 08-08-2007 01:32 PM

that really sucks, but it's not the fault of epass

That's what I was trying to say. It just came out a lot longer when I said it.
