Would u forgive your SO if they spit in your face?
 

Say if your significant other spits in your face often during fights when they are
angry, is this something you would leave them over or do you think it's not a big deal, especially if they show no remorse?

Is it even considered disrespectful at all or just immature? When I asked someone about this, they told me it's no big deal at all because they said when you kiss your signifcant other you are exchaning saliva as well, so if they spit at you during a very heated fight it's no big deal because it's just your signifcant other's saliva....

What do you all think?

You mean spitting while she's yelling or actually intentionally spitting in your face?

Intentionally spitting in the face, NOT spitting cause their yelling or talking and some spit hitting you accidentally, but spitting tons of spit in your face in anger on purpose while yelling and cursing you out (while the other party is yelling too).

I'm talking about doing it mean spiritedly out of hate during a fight on purpose.

Spitting on your SO is fine but only if the SO in question is a stupid scandolous bitch.

As a general rule, I would never strike a woman (certain situations not withstanding). That being said, if she intentionally spit in my face during an argument I would probably slap the piss out of her. :2 cents:

whats slapping her going to do? If shes game enough to spit in your face a slap isnt going to stop her.

In my opinion spitting on someone is one of the most disrespectfull things one can do to another and certainly not something acceptable. I would not put up with that more then 1 time.

Ok, what if the person who spit says the other person (who got spit on) deserves it for "talking too much shit"? Does that justify getting spit at or is spitting in the face so horrendous that nothing can justify it?

Ok, what happened is that I got spit in the face, but the other person claimed I "deserved" it for talking shit. The "talking shit" just refers to an argument that we were having, I was questioning the other person about something that happened, but I wasn't calling them names or using foul language, I wa just upset and being persistent when they didn't want to talk about it.

Also, this is not the first time it has happened. Of course at first I was angry and felt disrespected, but the other individual keeps doing it everytime we fight and thinks it's no big deal.

I was stupid and of course forgave the other person the first time it happened... So by now it happened probably 6 or 7 times... The fight I mentioned above is the latest episode where spitting was involved btw.. not the first one where it happened...

Well, the slap would be more of a natural reflex than an intentional strike and at the very least it would probably knock her half-way across the room (giving me time to calm down and begin to piece together what just happened).

I guess everyone thinks it's bad and disrespectful. I dunno, even though I feel disrespected I just thought of it as being "immature" or something that's not a big deal... but I guess most people think it IS a big deal.

Obviously the person who is doing the spitting has done a good job of convincing me that I'm making a big deal out of nothing.

I don't think it matters if I'm a guy or a girl. Would it make a difference to the answer of the question in the thread? Would it be ok for a guy to spit on a girl but not vice versa?

Is it worse if a guy spits at a girl or if a girl spits on a guy? I don't think it matters.

I guess I'm just asking in terms of a relationship, regardless of whether your male or female, do you consider it acceptable if the other party maliciously spits at you? That goes for both sexes...

It's disrespectful yes, but the other person justified it by saying "when you kiss me it's the same thing, it's my spit.", but i'm thinking there's a difference between kissing and maliciously spitting in someone's face out of anger or resentment. The intent is difference, but this person doesn't get it and just does it over and over again.

Also, I'm starting to spit back at this person, and this person doesn't get mad and just does it back and seems to think it's funny! That shows immaturity I know, but this person STARTED it by doing it first. I never would have thought to do something disgusting like that, until this person first did it to me.

This person also shows disrespect in other ways, but for now I'm just concerned about spitting, especially during really bad fights. It's like they can't control their emotions and anger and that's one of the dysfunctional ways they let it out I suppose.

I know it's disrespectful and nothing can justify it, but what if the person who did it is fucked up in the head somehow and got problems? They come from a dysfunctional family and grew up watching their parents be abusive to each other. I'm sure that's where they learned it from. Does that help justify it somehow??
