His last appeal was just rejected as of 3:08 eastern time zone.

I am a minority, left wing, liberal, democratic blue stater and i can see past this guys bullshit. Who gives a fuck how many kids books he wrote? He's responsible for starting arguably the most dangerous street gang ever.

If someone kills one person an argument can be made for redemption and a pass on the death penalty. When someone is responsible for taking 5 lives, then there is no fucking excuse. He is a perfect candidate.

while doing my prelaw program i studied capital punishment and its inherent flaws. that is my only argument against the death penalty. in this case it works perfectly...no flaws.

1) When he started the crips it was a poolhall club that did some small gambling
2) He is not asking to be set free .. just not to be killed
3) He is in jail for a murder that was he convicted of based on circumstantial evidence and no real proof was ever found .... it was back in the day where racism ran wild and it was a 100% white jury .. the two black people who got dismissed where not given a real reason

Tookie does deserve to die.. but we aren't the ones that should be making that judgement.

One thing is for sure, the justice system is whacked... They are way to nice to convicted killers and way to harsh on minor offenses..

Im not sure what that has to do with anything ? he isnt being killed for being a crip , he is being killed for killing people

he shouldnt be allowed to ask for anything..
if he has a legal reason to ask for a re-trial , then it should be given , but he tried that and the legal system denied it..

I saw him admit in his own words that he shot people with the intent to kill..
he had that chance it was denied. Every criminal has that chance

I don't think our criminal justice system is perfect. I think it could use a bit of overhauling but I do think the Death Penalty does have a purpose and place within it.

Thats because the only other option is to let him live and smoke and drink and write books and watch tv and hang out with his buddies.

If there was another option , perhaps people might take it..

Like if they allowed victims to choose a torture for the convict, and decide what he should do ( hard labour, chain gang , isolation etc )

The book is ambiguous. It must have been written by a marketing guru. It says a lot and means nothing.

I personally am on the fence when it comes to the death penelty but if he has admitted to shoot to kill.. then the death penelty should be inforced. If it is his words that convict him and the evendence is there!

Fuck that I don't want to pay for this idiots meals. This guy killed innocent people. There is even still talk that he is running the crips from within prison. This dude just got better at bullshitting , thats all. This guy deserves to die. I hate to say it, but if this was a white guy that started the "crackers", the deadliest gang in the country, there would be no appeals, he would have been dead already and no one would give a shit.

That's part of the problem, from what I understand this guy has NEVER admitted to killing anyone. This is one of the reasons the family members are so upset about all this "spare his life" shit. He cannot even take responsibility for what he was convicted of doing. Work it out with your maker.

Like I said in the other thread about this guy. If he REALLY cared, he would make a public statement, admitting he was wrong and that he was going to take his punishment. At the same time, he could then really be a role model for young kids and give the message that crime doesn't pay and that people should celebrate his life or something along those lines.

All this guy is doing, is making matters worse with all the appeals, celebrities on television etc. He is creating the chaos, instead of calming it.
