I believe in god because this one time I was stoned and I really had the munchies and I prayed that he would send me some doritos and a mountain dew and just at that moment I went into this one store near where I lived and they had shelves lined with it. It was an amazing miracle that could not have been duplicated. I was amazed and now I pray every night before bed that there will be more of it on the store shelves and every time I go there is.

There's also no historical proofs that God exists and Jesus made miracles... Same thing with Buddah or Allah... For most its all about Faith.. which isnt worth much...

For me this issue isn't about believing or not believing..... it is about having respect for the beliefs of others. There are a lot of fuckheads on this board who have zero respect for the beliefs of others, who feel the need to criticize and ostracize them and their beliefs.

No matter how convincing an argument against the existence of God, it won't help. They keep moving the yardsticks further back saying all new or old facts and evidence to the contrary doesn't nullify the argument that god does exist. If they find life on Mars or prove the big bang beyond any last remaining doubt, they will just say well...blah blah blah and go on believing.

The part I quoted was bullshit. Saying that believing in God and believing ghosts are the same thing is not true. I know people that believe in ghosts but not god, and the other way around.
