Babagirls, well first off I wouldn't quit. I would sit around and do nothing to make them fire me. This way I could collect the unemployment. why waste my million *L* next off I would buy a travel bus. it is hard to party on the road with a jag. but with a bus you can party hardy all day and night.

1) Buy a house with two phone lines
2) Buy a new car
3) Buy a new computer
4) Buy actual domain names & set up sites on payhosting for a change
5) Buy a whole new wardrobe (there are some cool bard shirts I have my eyes on)
6) Get my right ear pierced (my left one already is) & buy some actual silver earrings
7) Buy office space & get Moongem Publications, Inc. set up right (I've always envisioned it as a publications company that puts out comics & roleplaying games for non-adults as well as adults)
8) Open up a Hastings book/video/music store in town (this place is sadly lacking in that department)
9) Find me a woman...

Hmmm, 1 mil doesn't go as far today as it used to. I'd put at least half of it in the bank then I'd get a new vehicle (A geo metro just doesn't cut it anymore). I'd pay off my house, get a garage put in and a nice brick fence and maybe an inground pool. I'd get my computer upgraded and maybe purchase a few arcade machines I've always wanted to have. If I had a million bucks, I'd invest it in all my crazy ideas and either retire with my $1,000 I kept for myself, or turn it into even more millions.

I'd buy myself a cheap house in the woods with a recording studio in the basement. Then, I'd proceed to invest the rest of the money in different ventures ( I sure would buy some killer domains) and live off the revenue...

A touch of reality. $1 mil does not buy an island with all the stuff that goes with it.

You can't live high the rest of your life off of it. You could get by provided you managed it correctly and didn't get in trouble. Figure a 5-10% return on the average. You'll have better years for your portfolio of investments and then some bad ones.

Most small gas stations have a rough time. You're not gonna start with a $40K station and turn into $2mil. Not many places to find a $40k station to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, it would be a nice shot in the arm, even if you had to pay taxes on it. Assuming that youu did, that $1 mil could have just become ahalf.
