Canadians, do you sometimes dream you were an American citizen instead?
with all its attendent benefits and prestige?
|
Yeah, like free healthcare and low crimerate.
|
I'm american and I want to live in Canada, does that count?
|
Never. Canadians are In My Opinion the Best epople in the World. I would never ever think for a second of Changing. Any Canadians that Do Can freely Leave. But none will.
|
Sometimes I dream....
that one day.... one sunny peacful day.... you will decide to..... SHUT THE FUCK UP! |
um....
NFW!! |
Must be cool to live in Canada. I got family there and they always talk about going to the denstist, hospital for free.
But then again Candada can afford that cause instead of paying for a military they could put the funds into healthcare. We can't do that in the US :( |

The question was posed to Canadians. You opened your claptrap out of order. next... |
Can I ask what inspired this question?
I am Canadian btw and the answer is no. |
America is a great country and there a still a few freedoms left but most of the good ones are gone.
Canada on the other hand is a very chillaxed place and we dont seem to feel the need to control what the rest of the world is doing. We help if and where we can....after that we just live and let live. :thumbsup |
No, but you probably gotta live in a pretty shitty country to dream of living in a different one.

I also hate the huge taxes and expensive goods, but I love the country. ...I'm moving the fuck out of here when/if I graduate. :) |
Just when I am in a suicidal mood ... But knowing I don't have to be american cheers me back up :thumbsup
|
I'm sure they do dream that every once in a while.
But then they wake up all wet and sweaty and say thank god it was only a nightmare :1orglaugh |
No fucking way. I love being Canadian, thanks. I'm sure being American has it's merits, and my mother is an American born and bred, but I'm quite content where I am thanks.
|
No that's kind of dream is called nightmare
|
LOL dream? Not bloody likely. Who dreams of having their rights and freedoms stripped away piece by piece? Not many I would imagine.
|
The one major benifit of the US is that you can live in any climate that you want. In canada you got Victoria and Vancouver if you dont like the snow. But you get the rain and cold still.
That could change though if that caribbean island becomes part of canada as they are talking about. |
Why would they ? They have Health Care, The High Octane Beer and Way better Strip Clubs then We do :2 cents:
|
If nothing else what makes us Canadians is our pride that we are not Americans

it's a (tit for tat) thing they need us we need them sorta? canada is cleaner place and a great place for out door life if your into it also realestate is cheaper amongst other things there's some places I do enjoy in the states but I don't think i'd want to hang my hat there long term probably there's more interest for me in other countries (EU)ect... my opinion:2 cents: |

Ok let me digest this question for a sec.... Alright! We have free health care, clean cities and water, hockey just to name a few. And the U.S. has the worlds laughing stock George W. Bush. I think i will stay canadian thanks!![ |

We don't have an offensive army, because guess what, we don't invade countries. We don't have an army to fight in a world war, because guess what, we don't start world wars. During WWII we kicked serious ass. In Afghanistan we're kicking serious ass today. During 1812 we kicked YOUR ass. America should have standard health care too like every other civilized nation, but Republicans would rather play star wars. :1orglaugh |

I'm glad to be Canadian, although visiting the States in the winter months is also nice, just wouldn't want to live there permanently..
|

I can't think of a single reason why I'd rather live in the US than Canada.
Unless there was some very amazing offer of money or power or something silly, I'd never move there. |
never, i'll always be a canadian.
but i may end up moving somewhere warmer to live in the usa some day, i'll always keep a home in canada though. |
my sister tells me some americans she has travelled with stitch canadian flags onto their backpacks etc....i wonder why:Graucho
