I am sure the lawyer is all over it, lawyers are almost as much scum as tube sites.....

Do some research on class actions, lawyers get rich, you dont.

papill0n 01-30-2008 02:48 PM

Excellent news - use no lube.

That may be, but if we can take down some heavy hitting tube/warez sites... we'll win in the long run.

mrwilson 01-30-2008 03:46 PM

Great for those who have had content stolen!
:thumbsup

Diligent 01-30-2008 04:07 PM

Niiiiicee..!! Let's hope You guys can nail 'em good :)

WiredGuy 01-30-2008 04:10 PM

Brad's right here. Any damages that are won, almost all of it will go to the lawyers. Even if your lucky and it shuts down the tube sites, tomorrow there will be brand new domains with the same database backends.

I don't mean to sound negative, its just that class actions rarely accomplish much.

LeRoy 01-30-2008 04:11 PM

If you need anything from me. Let me know Jay.

My shit is all over the wares :(

V_RocKs 01-30-2008 04:12 PM

What about the people that use said content legit? Can't we be included?

A portion of the money will go to the lawyers... Who cares... better than sitting on your hands.

After Shock Media 01-30-2008 04:13 PM

Im interested but I would see jack shit in damages since I have thankfully been able to keep almost everything off of tubes, torrents, and warez sites.

TheSenator 01-30-2008 04:15 PM

Shit is going down.

I wonder what will happen behind closed doors.

Will there be hush hush money?

Is someone going to get their ass kicked?

The mob might be involved in this one.

Blazed 01-30-2008 04:17 PM

If billion dollars companies havent been able to do anything to youtube which gets by because of the same laws that allow tubes to operate how they do i doubt anyone here will be able to.

WarChild 01-30-2008 04:18 PM

Where money really needs to be spent is lobbying to change the loop holes of "user submitted conent". The problem is, it's going to take a lot of money.

cosis 01-30-2008 04:22 PM

Just the word lawsuit alone is enough to scare some potential people from starting up more tube sites.

I doubt it lawsuits are thrown around so loosely on forums 99% of the time nothing happens.

Dirty F 01-30-2008 04:51 PM

By the time you get 1 tube site closed 200 new ones are created. Waste of money and time.

Yo Brad...the point isn't so I make money. As a content producer (you just shot 2 scenes at my house today - thanks!) shouldn't want to see your content you spent YOUR money on all over the place.

Right?

These tube sites are operating at a very small margin or profit (if any) or are just looking to be sold. If we can just keep them harassed enough to where their legal costs have eaten up the bottom line, they will be forced to go away or change their business model.

I don't care who gets rich, as long as I can see the biggest threat to slinging online porn go away.

:2 cents:

DirtyProfits 01-30-2008 05:52 PM

This is a good reason to promote OC Cash :thumbsup

And a big :321GFY to VideosZ, JuggCash and all the others who advertise on tube sites.

Casa Nova 01-30-2008 05:54 PM

Great idea to get shit done instead of just complaining like most.

Hey that isn't may reason for doing this but I certianly appreciate your support.

CarlosTheGaucho 01-30-2008 06:09 PM

I agree letting someone rip your content and praying that someone who jerked off signs up for cams or dating is ridiculously gang banging the whole industry's ass.

Who is a scam will always try to find new ways to scam, but I agree and believe that it can be accomplished to push this to a non - profitable or "too risky to care" area.

Barefootsies 01-30-2008 06:09 PM

RudeBoy 01-30-2008 06:10 PM

you won't win

cosis 01-30-2008 06:14 PM

Winning isn't the bottom line here, drawing more attention to the issue is. Hopefully less and less will do business with the illegal tube sites.

Zorgman 01-30-2008 06:25 PM

Good work jay. It will would good to see some of these illegal tube sites go.

bingo.

dmca needs to be repealed. it was written in a time that couldn't anticipate the advancement in technology or digital environment we live in today.

J. Falcon 01-30-2008 06:30 PM

good luck

Iron Fist 01-30-2008 06:34 PM
