Why is Soccer so popular worldwide ?

Is it really that good? It is the number one
sport for me as well but it's not the only
sport i like !

Because of all the hot girls wearing soccer shorts....my guess.

I am serious , it seems to be so much more popular then any other sport world wide !

I once read that the US media is trying to stop soccer being
shown too much on network television out of fear it will became
too popular taking attention away from the current big US sports
like Baseball-NFL-Basketball (sports americans are good at.)

Maybe once the US can compete with the top soccer nations,
that might change..not sure but

It's popular cause it's interesting to watch. It has tactics and teamwork and it's not just a sport, it brings all the nations of the world together during world cups. In is a multigenerational sport that can be played almost anywhere and anytime.

I have played since I was 5 and still play.

In the USA soccer is the largest sport for kids under 18 years and the fastest growing sport according Sports USA stats for the same catagory.

It's the far best sport on the world, not just because the game is the best, but fans and supporting. I can't stand watching thousends of tossers just waving with some studpid flags in NFL. Then, of course, we have all the things surrounding football. Like - *sigh* - the fans. These people are even more cretinous than the players. And this is where I really start to hate football. You see, when the fans don't get what they want (i.e. the victory for their team), they don't do what fans of any other sport do. Oh no. They trash the stadium, the town/city that they're in, each other, and most notably innocent fucking bystanders that have had nothing to do with the match.

Example. My friend Henrich Sjolin is Swedish. He was drinking in the town whilst a match between a British team and a German team was taking place. The British team won, but the winning goal was scored very close to the end of the match, and most of the fans had poured out of the pubs in disgust by then. So what did they do? They decided to find all the Germans in the town (it's a university town so there are plenty) and kick the shit out of them. Henrich was near a certain group, and talking to someone. With a Swedish accent. Thick cunts that these people are, they mistook it for German (or they just didn't give a shit - Sweden's close enough, right?) and kicked the shit out of him. He was in hospital for quite some time.

Example. Whilst my friend and I were walking Nic to work tonight, a fan of one team or another (there was a match on) walked past us and called us slags because she thought we were fans of the opposing team. Never mind that Nic was in her Royal Mail uniform. Never mind that none of us were wearing anything even remotely resembling football clothes. Never mind that we were walking away from the motherfucking stadium.

Shit, I could go on forever, but I think I've said enough for now.

Ok buttfucks in soccer they play continuously 45+ minutes. This means that there will be no chance for commercials. And if there are no commercials, why would USA be interested in anything like that?

Americans need commercials because they either need to find out what they need to buy tomorrow OR they have to run the fridge and make a few burgers so that they can eat those and watch unnaturally long men throwing basketball.

And why watch stupid soccer where you can be a good player even if you're just normal weighted or heighted? No normal looking people make any sports interesting. If you look normal and your profession is sport, you're gay.
