this is a serious allegation ;)

Probably your user had just the LJ cookie saved, so when they signed up through your affiliate link you didn't receive the money....this is the bad thing of Live Jasmin.
|
you are talking about a nice amount, I hope this will get solved, for both of the parts.
|
good thing this finally got resolved.
congrats to the winners. |
sad to see awe's near-perfect rep dragged through the mud.
|
i like large font sizes and silly colours...
|
No, everything is NOT resolved. But instead of continuing this thread, expect to see a new one Monday morning... the saga continues... (or should I just keep it here?)

Looks like we're right back where we started.
Mickey wrote me to say that the 31 "fraudulent" sign-ups were re-evaluated by their "Risk Department" and once again determined to be bogus. I wrote back and asked him to give me the screen names of the offending customers so I could do my own investigation. He has not replied and I somehow doubt I'll get the info I requested. When an affiliate gets a charge-back they are provided the screen name of the customer. Mickey won't give me that same info because unlike most other affiliates, I can contact the customer once I know the screen name. So, it looks like the issue of the "Fraudulent" sales will remain a source of contention between us for a very long time and I'll have no choice but to get the lawyers involved. Remember, I'm challenging AWE to explain why I didn't get paid for 50+ sales at $222 each. 31 so-called "fraudulent" sales and 20 +/- sales that mysteriously never got credited to me in the first place. Next I will demand a DETAILED and SUBSTANTIVE RESPONSE as to why I didn't get paid on 20+ CONFIRMED LJ SIGN-UPS. I don't think LJ will give me the info citing "privacy" issues. MICKEY: I ask you here and now to answer these two YES or NO questions. Will you provide me with the 31 screennames of the "fraudulent" sales? Once I provide you with the LJ screennames will you tell me where the 20 mystery sales picked up the LJ cookie? EVERYONE ELSE: Do you believe that a Affiliate Webmaster is entitled this info when there is a dispute with a Program Operator? |
glad to see this resolved. links back up.
|
What % of your total sales do the 31 represent?
|
the fact that you know every person who signed up smells like shit. your story sucks. you will never get your money. move on and don't be so obvious next time.
|
gratz on resolving this.

Seriously if you're really legit and didn't do anything deceitful take this as a lesson to do your due diligence before launching a major promotion with a sponsor and move on. You have a good source of leads and you can do business with others instead. Fuck 'em. If you're really pissed tell your people not to buy anything from them again or perhaps even chargeback if they feel scammed. AWE won't gain a thing from that and this thread has probably already hurt them in an amount greater than what you lost. :2 cents: |
According to my figures I made 104 total sales AWE originally credited me with 84 of them 20 sales were made to my guys but never showed up in my account. Six weeks after the close of the pay period, they disqualified 31 of them I was paid for 53 of the 104 sales This leaves 51 sales in dispute @ $222 = $11,322 There were ZERO charge-backs TO THE CYNICS AND HATERS: Before you spew your venomous shit, go back and actually read my explanation for the unique way I marketed the LJ Memberships. Instead of taking cheap shots at me how about telling me SPECIFICALLY what you think I dd that was bogus? Just because something is different doesn't mean its BS. Do you think I would bring in the lawyers and fight like this if I had anything to hide? Let me remind you all of something I've said all along: I was in CONSTANT CONTACT with AWE senior management EVERY STEP ALONG THE WAY. They knew I was marketing them in a unique way. When I first met Douglas at XBIZ we spent SEVERAL HOURS in three separate meetings over two days discussing my site and other matters. In fact, Douglas had mentioned that he felt AWE would be interested in helping me expand my site. Why is it that there only seems to be a small number of people here that support AWEs side of the story? Kinda mkes you go "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm" |

Somewhere in this thread I lamented that I did not do my homework before signing up with AWE. It will prove to be an expensive mistake. $11,000 is a good sized amount of money to me. I have a few projects I'm working on that suck every penny I make. I will make it my MISSION IN LIFE to make sure that every webmaster knows about AWE and their slimy business practices .. many of which have been chronicled here long before I ever started this thread. I WILL get the lawyers involved ... but it won't be JUST ME. Other webmasters have contacted me and indicated they would want to join me in my fight. AWE's figures that when a webmaster has a complaint that they'll just go away rather than fight. I gave Mickey MANY OPPORTUNITIES to resolve this in a private, civilized way. He dragged things out and then we ended up right back where we started. At one point he took a swipe at me publicly for privately offering them an opportunity to make this go away in a way that would "save face" for all parties. AWE: Be advised THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING: One of the lawyers that contacted me has such a 'bug up his ass' about AWE that he'll take the case PRO BONO -- for FREE. All we need to do is pay the out-of-pocket costs. He was really pissed when AWE retroactively SCREWED THEIR WEBMASTERS when they UNILATERALLY changed the referral payouts. We've begun the process of collecting info from webmasters around the world. I'd like to see 20 or more other webmasters join us. That would surely get lots of coverage in the trade magazines and sites. One publication has already contacted me. More will follow. Mickey: I got you a lot of sales and would have gotten lots more if you had not been a such a greedy, short-sighted man. I wonder where AWE would be if you had not been so dis-respectful to the people that are making you money. Does the money you make with your slimy business practices make up for the honest business you lose when good affiliates drop you in the blink of an eye, or never sign with you in the first place? The $11,000 you ripped me off for will be the most expensive screwing you ever perpetrated on an affiliate. . . |
awe might lose your friends as customers. bummer.
|
pretty fucked up.

If you were coming at me with legal action and I believed you scammed me, no honestly I would not give you that information at this point. Not taking sides, but I just dont see your point |

This is a quote from Mickey on other threads: Quote:
In the ORIGINAL POST on this thread I called on Mickey to solve my problem in plain view of everyone on GFY. To date he has done NOTHING OF ANY SUBSTANCE. --- He has not made any offers or counter-offers. --- He has not provided me any information that explains why they withheld $11,000 in commission payments --- He has not answered any of the tough questions I have posed to him on this thread. --- All he has done is to give LIP SERVICE --- In my personal opinion, AWE LIED to affiliates regarding the mailing of the August P2 commissions. Mickey has done NOTHING to explain how lots of affiliates checks were all "lost in the mail" at the same time. --- He has -- with his own words -- demonstrated that AWE uses techniques for unfairly robbing affiliates of sales by the way their cookies are treated. --- He has demonstrated what I believe is a fundamental disrespect for the people that are supposedly part of the AWE team. Frankly, I'm amazed that Mickey is such a poor businessman that he didn't settle this with me long ago .. even before I went public. He didn't even offer me a REVSHARE payout for the questionable sales. He wanted to keep every penny. When I started this thread I had pretty much given up on actually getting paid for any of these sales. At this point I'm just looking for payback any way I can get it. . . |

Neil,
A reply was sent to your email. Contrary to what you believe, we don't do any 'screwing perpetrated on affiliates', as stated by you above. As previously mentioned, the offer to receive the affiliate ID's, via email, that the two members signed up under still stands, reply to my email if that is something you're interested in. There are no 'mystery sales'. Any affiliate, as always, is free to do test signups as long as they let us know afterwards. |

When AWE retroactively decides to remove previous sales, you cannot use a test signup to see if you are being cheated. The method is simply flawed. :2 cents: |
10k owed thats a lot

The TEST SIGN-UP remark from Mickey would apply to the 20 sales I never got credited for The RETROACTIVE removal of sales that occurred six weeks prior applies to the 31 sales that AWE DID credit me for and then uncredited me after it became apparent that I wasn't going to be doing any more business with them. |

Mickey,
You are SOOOOOO predictable. I list very specific details and you reply with generic bullshit. I ask questions ... you don't answer them I email you privately and you don't reply .. or if you do reply its DAYS LATER and contains nothing substantive or responsive. I post publicly and you respond in that "Lets work it out" demeanor then you take no SUBSTANTIVE action to in fact work it out THIS IS THE PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR SEVERAL PEOPLE ASCRIBE TO YOU It may work on them ... but not me From Mickey Neil A reply was sent to your email. Contrary to what you believe, we don't do any 'screwing perpetrated on affiliates', as stated by you above. I have 51 sales documented that you refuse to pay me. You offer no substantive reason or explanation for either category. I am prepared to get SIGNED and NOTARIZED AFFIDAVITS from the so-called "fraudulent" sales, but you won't even tell me who they are. How convenient As previously mentioned, the offer to receive the affiliate ID's, via email, that the two members signed up under still stands, reply to my email if that is something you're interested in. There are no 'mystery sales'. Any affiliate, as always, is free to do test signups as long as they let us know afterwards. What good are the AFFILIATE IDs unless you provide a list of who the IDs belong to? You could put any numbers you want. The fact that you're even offering JUST the AFFILIATE IDs is another sign of your BOGUS way of doing things. I want to know what site each of these 20 people picked up the LJ COOKIE. How many of these sales went to AWE? I'm sure A LOT OF PEOPLE would want to know. One of the two TEST CASES deletes cookies and cache every day. You were told this MONTHS AGO yet never offered me an explanation how he got credited to someone else This appeared in POST #314 on Page 8 MICKEY: I ask you here and now to answer these two YES or NO questions. Will you provide me with the 31 screennames of the "fraudulent" sales? Once I provide you with the LJ screennames will you tell me where the 20 mystery sales picked up the LJ cookie? Mickey: I don't see much usefulness in emailing you. If you decide to work this out like a businessman, I'll be happy to respond in kind. You wrote me today to offer a revshare payment. This comes after I posted publicly that you never offered even that. Offering it now only pisses me off more. That ship sailed weeks ago. Right now I will settle for nothing less than FULL PAYMENT on the 31 "fraudulent" sales and the 20 MYSTERY SALES once I establish my legitimate claim to those commissions. |
that explains why they added me on icq with a new number. too many people messaging them on icq to get paid
