I didn’t think my site had that much ‘clout’. AWE must be pretty weak if my site had enough gravitas to make one bit of difference. Look, get past your narrow-minded cynicism for one minute. Consider the possibility that I was actually looking for a win-win-win working arrangement with AWE. Numerous times I would say to AWE Staff and my Members that I was looking forward to a long term relationship. Even when things were looking problematic I tried to work it out because I had gone on record with my Members that LJ was here to stay. In retrospect, that was one of the biggest mistakes I made. I had to “eat crow” when I pulled the plug publicly with AWE. As to whether I'm a "Special Case", I was working hard to be a solid asset to AWE. They shot themselves in the foot with me. Judging from the reaction on this and other AWE threads, a lot of other people feel the same way, too. The more you tongue-kiss their ass, the more you look like a jackass. But that’s my OPINION, not necessarily a FACT. I can tell the difference. |

It's been 3 1/2 days since I last wrote Mickey with my best offer to resolve the situation.. NO ANSWER at all.

I owe Mickey an apology. I was mistaken about a small detail in my previous post In my previous post I wrote that I had sent Mickey the latest email 3 1/2 days ago .. early Thursday morning EST (GMT -5). Had this been the case he would have had all day Thursday and Monday to read the email and reply. I was wrong about the that. I did in fact send the email at Noon EST of Friday. By then the business day was over in Europe. I apologize for mis-stating the time/dates in the earlier post. I had gotten that info from the email before that. That being said, you did have all day today (Monday) to respond. Considering the time and energy that has been put into this matter I would have hoped that your response would have been forthcoming today. Or at least an acknowledgment that you have received the email and are working on your reply. That would have been nice. Just promise me that you'll make a GOOD FAITH effort to resolve this and I'll be patient for a few more days. Heck, I've waited this long. |
I just now received an encouraging response from Mickey to the letter I sent Friday He promised a more substantive reply in a few days. I will not post on this .. or any AWE related ... thread until I receive that reply. |
