Has anybody read these books?
The Richest Man in Babylon - George Clason
Retire Young, Retire Rich - Robert Kiyosaki On the Road - Jack Kerouac I purchased the last one from seeing earlier post. I will be traveling and wondered which one I should take with me.

nope, but I am looking into getting Rober tKyosaki's series of books. i've listened to some of the MP3s from kazaa to see what it's about and I liked it, so I'm gonna go buy the books soon.
As for the other two, I have no clue. Kyosaki is a book that you gotta read and pay attention to, really get into it and analyse what he says though, so it depends what you feel like. I personally like a nice thick "Where's Waldo?" book. With pop-up tabs.

Non-fiction, I kinda enjoyed reading a few books by some former SAS guys. CQB by Mike Curtis was very good Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNabb is also very good, especially because it deals with a mission that happened in Desert Storm, where some of his mates did not make it back. A very interesting historical read.

On the Road is a great book, especially when travelling. The funnest part about it is trying to figure what "it" is all about when you finish the book. It's all about "it"!
![]() My all-time favorite is "The Demon Haunted World - Science as a Candle in the Dark" by Carl Sagan. Should be required reading for everyone on the planet. Have a good trip! |

On the Road is fantastic, it completely rocks.
If you're going that vein, I'd get The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test as well, if you like one you probably will like the other. |

Kingdom of Fear - Hunter S. Thompson
This just came out, and it's really an interesting read...and relates to the adult world to a certain extent. It has some amazing stories and is very funny. I mean, this guy is 65 years old, and sees the world from a completely different angle than most.

"A Gun For Sale" by Graham Greene - the original hit man novel. A profound influence on all sorts of later media.

I think I read that book by Robert. I read like 6 or 7 of his. Most I found throughly enjoying and entertaining. Some were dull and bland (espially the ones as part of his "advisor" series"). But if you want something that will keep you entertained, at least in the first half, go with his book. Haven't read the other ones yet, they are on my list of books to read in the next couple months though.
