Simply being on the quarantine list does not indicate that anyone has HIV. It only means that they have directly (generation 1), or indirectly (generation 2 or higher), had contact with patient zero (whom tested positive for HIV).
During the 2004 Darren James HIV incident, only a few of the two dozen or so people on the quarantine list tested positive. Most were cleared after taking a few rounds of tests which came back negative. It is the Producer/Director's personal responsibility to confirm each test result (either through the database or over the phone with AIM), to avoid forgeries or results that have come in subsequent to the last test. As an industry, we need to come up with, or push for, better methodology for testing, since this is now the second time in the past year that someone has tested positive, but not before exposing several other people to HIV. If we don't, I suspect that it is just a matter of time before condoms are mandated, or even more harsh regulations are imposed on the industry by the government. I try to have performers tested within a few days of their scheduled scene(s), even if I have to pay for the test myself, and I always check myself each performers current status. I also shoot less risky scenes (no anal, no internal cumshots, no gangbangs, etc). Personally, I wish that the list of names was made known to those within the industry, however I understand why it is not. These must be some anxious times for the people on the quarantine list (it takes multiple tests and weeks to be cleared), for in addition to the uncertainty that they might have HIV due to their exposure to patient zero, their lives are further complicated by the fact that they are at least temporarily out of work (for many, adult work is their only or main source of income), so I wish them all good luck, and hope that their tests come back negative. Does AIM then, have some sort of area where shooters/producers/talent hirers can log in and view everyones results ? Does this area contain like a fetaured quarantine list where everyone quartine is listed? |

I was always under the impression we were signing away privacy rights when we tested through aim I think there should be a list.. there is a ton of producers that don't check online databases... etc etc but they still shoot girls who shoot with guys who do.. visa versa.. they all shoot with each other.. cause the girls your paying 1500 to for scenes are still shooting scenes with nobodys for 200 bucks.. raw dog... then that guy may turn around and shoot with a girl that has a clean test that then you shoot with... personally I Think names are important .... it's 2010 let a nigga know who the fuck.... also.. as for strichter testing blah blah... listen we all knew coming in the industry it's not working the greeter posotion at wal mart... if you work with hot shit you might get burned one day,,, you work as a lineman you may get shocked ... we all accept these risks.... everything has a risk to get a reward in life.. some more risky than others.... you start to alter those risks you get different rewards.. could be good could be bad

in a perfect world yes... but you and I both know that not every producer from LA, Vegas, Arizona and all the other states will do an online, verbal, or even look at a test... that is the reason public information on who is on list is needed.... look I was like 3rd generation on the 2004 list and I was listed and it did not bother me and I did not feel like my privacy was invaded... your honestly sitting there telling me that a whore who does anal gangbangs for the world to see is worried about her privacy? if she is then she's in the wrong biz.... do you check a test on every random whore you bang off camera? how do you know jane doe you fuck off camera for a few bucks is not patient zero? I understand what your saying tottally ... yes at health district you can test under a number no names involved and it's private yes... but in a world of porn where everyone fucks everyone... names are needed I honestly can't believe you don't see that.... I personally do not trust AIM from an event that happend in 2005 that I personally experienced.... if they can give false positives on test whats to say they can't give false negatives.... but I do think the 2004 deal was handled correctly when they posted the list... what is the exact reason they are not posting a list this time? I still havent got that answered yet... all I get is oh you can call get a verbal or you can check online.... that does not answer my question as to why is there not a list at aim-med.org/thelist.html or something like there was before... that was a great method and it worked great.... although it sucked to see my name up there it was good to see who else was up there.... you guys honestly don't agree that there should be a list...
