And what if prostitution is legal? It's legal here, so if even if pornography were considered prostitution there can't exist a loophole because both things are legal.

DMCA is also an "american" thing. If non-us parts have a copyright conflict, DMCA become irrelevant for all parts. Also ISPs, courts etc... Jurisdictions are loopholes to?

Honestly, I think a lot of people were kinda in shock at first. Couldn't believe it. Nobody blatantly monetized entire members areas that belonged to other people before on this kind of scale to the point that it is driving people out of business.

Used to be if you found your content on someone else's site, a phone call took care of it. And every once in a great while two parties would go to war and go to court.

But never, never anything like finding your stuff on tens of thousands of sites all at the same time and watching your property become worthless to you.

Just talking to a lot of people at shows over the last couple of years, a LOT of them were blissfully unaware of what was happening. And others didn't think it was a big deal...

I remember talking to my buddy Mark at the XBIZ show in the summer of 2007. I had for the first time seen our stuff being stolen everywhere (we opened CM's site in May that year).

So I asked him: "What are you guys at Naughty America doing about this for your content? I'm seeing it everywhere and I'm noticing that my sales to you guys are not good anymore"

He told me: "We're not worried about it, it's free advertising!"

A year later he was no longer with Naughty America.

It's only the last year or so that the majority of folks started realizing what was really happening. And now that they are FINALLY waking up, they are starting the process of doing something about it.

Hopefully no more buying the thieves beers and taking pictures together.

Just jumped through all the hoops and found one of those links that actually works. It's one of my recent updates...so I downloaded it (painfully slow) and sure enough, it's the little 480 x 272 resolution low bit rate downloadable version that I give my members to download.

It's NOT the high res HD big and pretty stream that can only be found in my members area.

It's a shame that others don't do what I'm doing and save your business. It's easy and effective. I have not found even one instance of my high quality vids anywhere but my members area since I implemented this.

All I see are old scenes that were available (and still are available on my VOD section) for download a couple of years ago. Any of my newer scenes that leak out are all low res/low bit rate.

It keeps it down to a mild roar until RYC can get to it and swat it down like an irritating mosquito.

Any of you that own paysites who would like me to show you my methodology just contact me. I won't be at the content protection forum because I'm not sure that anybody there can show me much of anything, and I haven't yet seen that there are going to be any speakers with any real experience in what I'm doing. So just get in touch with me privately.

Most of the people don't buy porn. Even in the great days conversions were 1-50 (2%) so most people don't buy porn at anytime.

What has happened with the escalation of free porn is now even that 1 or 2% don't buy, they watch for free.

i think there is a lot of acting that goes into fucking. The girls fake it probably 9 out of 10 times. It's just poor acting, but its still acting. What you see on a porn videos doesn't go on in real life, at least not in 99% of the bedrooms out there. And some porn actually has story lines and plots, not just start to finish fucking.

Just like anything else it's the intent. If joe blow takes his camera out and drives up and down the strip for hookers, records himself fucking them and then gets busted and says "its for my porn business", if he has no website, no store, no proof of a business it wont fly. Also a hooker isn't going to sign off on 2257 docs or enter into a contract either.

I've met a few scary guys about 10 years ago that had stacks of polaroid pictures they took of naked girls, they promised the girls would make money but they either didn't have intentions of trying to sell the content or they sucked at it, either way it does provide an avenue for some people to "play" business and have sex for pay and it not be postitution. BUt in the vast majority of the cases I wouldn't say porn = postitution, that there is no acting ,etc... that's not true.
