Just looking at box office mojo, the movie has made 3/4 of a million.

If Paramount paid, then Id say its a huge step....if Chris paid, Id say its not such a big step. As far as I know I was NOT the studio that took on the liability, but I may be wrong.

Those trailers were running long before the movie came out. "30mm people have seen the trailer" and yet its done nothing at the box office

This is how it works. Large companies employ ad agencies to to their media planning. They pay them a lot so they do not have to deal with people like you trying to tell them how to advertise.
