LOL

you guys giving kb head in this thread almost blow things even more out of proportion as he does himself

fucking funny

Only time will tell. One things for sure...you have no idea what will happen and neither do we. But this does indeed have the potential to be a game changer. Just maybe not for you?

Benny 08-05-2010 05:47 PM

Congrats KB...... Now we can go play some golf and have fun this time ;)

Yes, now my head is back into the game.

Big move for KB and all, but am I the only one here who doesn't exactly see advertising a movie about internet porn, on and internet porn site, as a real big leap for mainstream/adult crossovers in advertising??

Male acai , as shortly lived as it seemed to be, was more of a mainstream to adult bridging of markets than this... :2 cents:

No you're not the only one who doesn't see it.
But that doesn't mean it's not there. I see this as VERY big because of my own attempts over the last 13 years.

Again...what would stop ANY film aimed at adults ("The Hangover", "The Expendables", "Dinner For Schmucks", etc.) from following suit? If this works out successfully they would be crazy to NOT get in on what is the cheapest advertising they could possibly get (when compared to the rates they pay now).

And again...perhaps this might help to bring in THE big player: cigarettes and alcohol.

Or maybe not. But everything has to start somewhere. And the Acai Berry b.s. isn't even in the same league as this.

alias 08-06-2010 02:04 PM

I guess the thing of it is, KB is a huge media whore. He might be able to swing it.

I guess the big step is that it's happened and it got press for happening. So some non adult companies looking to tap into a big "over 18" audience can get the idea in their head that it's a possible direction for their marketing department. It's also easier to pitch these companies showing the proof that a major motion picture has recently done it.

It's a stepping stone in the right direction.

No they can't. You're marketing to leechers. Leechers know where to find those movies on torrents and newsgroups for free, that's why they are on those tube sites. To get stuff for free.

Google Middle Men Torrent or any variation and get that movie for free! No problems.

It's everywhere.

Alprazolam 09-10-2010 10:16 AM

Thanks to Middle Men, Mallick, Pornhub and now the OP, the mainstream movie business will never touch anything remotely associated to adult. Not that they ever would anyhow, but just making a point. That Hollywood studio is embarrassed to it's peers now that that Mallick's ePassporte story is all over the studio B2B world, and none of the rest of them want associated for sure.

This may be one of the biggest backfires ever.

Quagmire 09-10-2010 10:26 AM

i guess someone forgot to let the cat know it was out of the bag. Either that, or the cat suffocated in the bag and is just lying there dead. :2 cents:

DWB 09-10-2010 11:09 AM

You mean that with all that "more traffic than god" shit, it didn't work?

Alprazolam 09-10-2010 11:10 AM

The cat moved from the bag to the icey Virtual Visa, now he's frozen there.

I love the first line from that article:

Hollywood studios don't advertise their movies on adult websites, but that might change if this indie about the rise of Internet pornography succeeds with the strategy.
This thread = fail!

So yeah, if Kevin can take that huge ball of traffic that Mansef/Manwin has thus far been unable to monetize very well (how can they? paysites aren't gonna sell that great off of it for obvious reasons and cam/dating is played out) and sell prepaid ad spots to mainstream...then that is going to open up opportunity for ALL of us.

Even with my comparably small traffic I could easily see a very nice paycheck on prepaid ads if this leads to other companies following the lead of "Middlemen"

oh really?
lets see, these guys got all them tubes with free porn = more traffic than god, why the fuck they would share with you? the ad buyers are interested in "more traffic than god", translate the traffic from the free sites..
then again i am sure they are willing to sell you an adspot on their freesites for your paysite:upsidedow:upsidedow:upsidedow

Pics Traffic 09-10-2010 11:48 AM

That worked out pretty well for all of us.

TheAmericanCannibal 09-10-2010 01:20 PM

One thing has nothing to do with the other.
The guy bought ads on a tube site.

What does that have to do with Epassporte?

Second, the movie was shown in 7 cities.
How do u expect millions of people who saw the movie trailer scattered across the world to go to those 7 cities to see his movie?

U can't.
His movie will make money once it hits DVD and PPV.

I am not his PR guy nor am I involved in the movie, I am just saying that you guys have no idea what you are talking about, and it's why I dont waste my time here any more.

I (and many others) tried everything we could over the years to get ANY "mainstream" business to advertise with us. I worked my ass off about 10 years ago trying to get a liquor or cigarette company to advertise on al4a and ampland to no avail.

You just pulled off a game changer there buddy. If this works out well for "MiddleMen" it could be the start of a new revenue stream that has eluded all of us since the mid 1990's.

Wait, you run ampland? Damn that was the first porn site I ever beat off to. Thanks, buddy :pimp

Do you realize on your website, that the links on the navigation bar go to an IP address? You might want to fix that up.

Hate to see people fail, except when it is attention seeking whores and you sir are the biggest attention whore of all time. So which part of the fail were you involved with ? god I hope not the PR or marketing because obviously the movie needed better from both of those.

Oh, don't cry you will be back to whore/spam the next thing you work on or to post a picture you took with some actor or some shit thinking you all cool and all that.
