WEBAIR.COM - Secure Your .CO today - Pre-Register for Landrush!!!

What is .CO?

.CO is a new domain extension that offers people and companies more choice in branding their online presence. It's the online space associated globally with the words "COmpany," "COrporation" and "COmmerce" – making .CO domain easy to recognize, simple to remember and flexible to use.

THIS EXTENSION IS EXPECTED TO BE BIGGER THAN .NET!!! IF YOU HAVE A .COM DOMAIN, YOU NEED THE .CO VERSION!!!

What are the benefits of registering a .CO domain?
There are several key benefits of choosing .CO:

  • .CO is a truly global, recognizable and credible domain
  • .CO gives businesses and brands the chance to create a worldwide footprint
  • .CO is relevant to individuals, businesses and organizations
  • .CO is meaningful, memorable and intuitive to use for people around the world
  • .CO appeals to today's socially-networked individuals and entrepreneurs
  • We have started accepting pre-registration requests for the .CO Landrush.
  • The .CO Landrush begins on the 21st of June, 2010.
  • The Cost for a Landrush registration will be: $279 plus a $10 application fee. If you don't end up getting the domain, you only pay the $10 application fee.
  • If there are multiple applicants for a particular Domain, an auction will be held between the applicants by the Registry/Auction House post the Landrush
  • Important: If the outcome of the auction process is not in your favor, you will be refunded in full minus the $10 application fee.
  • All refunds will be processed once the auction is completed

*Secure your .CO Domains Pre-register now!!! CLICK HERE!!!*

***REMINDER***

Don't Wait to Pay More
As a friendly reminder, on July 1st, VeriSign®, the registry for .COM and .NET, will increase prices - .COM will go up by 7% and .NET by 10%.

WEBAIR.COM is an ICANN ACCREDITED REGISTRAR!

We offer a 30 day grace period. Perhaps you didn't get the notification email? Personally, I don't take chances with my domains I keep them all on auto renew. We have revamped our entire domain back end and will be launching that soon, along with some really IMPRESSIVE offerings =) Stay tuned.

Agreed it is expensive but the extension is going to be HUGE! IMHO. Not to mention you will get a ton of type in if the .com gets a lot of traffic ;) Could be well worth the initial investment.

im sure a lot will be registered, a lot of money will be made but when it comes down to it this extention just screams cybersquatters. that is the only place money really is with the extention. .cm was supposed to be huge too but all the best ones were kept back and people ending paying a pretty penny for crap.

Great stuff, I see you have it cheaper than Godaddy.

Btw I wonder how will be whois look like for .co names? I mean will it be private or a person that registered a name will be listed there?

I'm truly disappointed with Moniker, recently my domain with them expired, I knew I have all names with them set up on autorenew a few days ago I logged in to my account and one domain vanished. I checked all info and my email and it looks like my credit card number changed (cuz I have new card) and they failed to renew it but... I haven't received any email that there was a problem! Now, I would have to pay $120 to get it back. Fuck it.

Maybe it was a bit mine fault because I wasn't logging there frequently but still...

It will be interesting to see if the elevated pricing / auction format actually weeds OUT a majority of the squatters out there.

With regard to the domain issue u had with us in the past, I would like to make that up to you. Email me and let's discuss

.CO Landrush Note: If there are multiple applicants for this domain name, you will need to participate in an auction process to acquire the domain name. Please note that the registration fee includes a non-refundable application fee of USD 70 per domain.
If the outcome of the auction process is not in your favor, the registration amount minus the application fee will be refunded to you. All refunds will be processed once the auction is completed.
And also when I log out of your system I get some kind of error note, is it normal?

But generally it looks quite nice, I think I will transfer a few names to you soon.

Global? It's a ccTLD. Recognizable? To folks in Columbia. And maybe for some .US folks to whom the state of Colorado comes to mind. Credible? It's basically being passed off as a .COM typo TLD.

Memorable? Really, more than say .TV? Intuitive? .CO is about as intuitive as .WS.

Who like to spend excessive amounts of money - many other TLDs are far cheaper.

Yep, plenty of suckers. To be fair, some will get lucky and make bank flipping, but that's few and far between - most will be throwing money away. Many will be defensive registrations.

$279 ... heck, one can buy a very nice .COM in the aftermarket for that much.

Expect many to overpay big time.

The .CO casino where each pull costs $10.

And many who "lose", while initially upset, may in retrospect be glad they lost and got most of their money back.

IMHO, .CO is about the crappiest, overpriced ccTLD to come down the pike.

Anyone who buys .CO domains beware the nation of Columbia makes the rules for .CO, not ICANN. Columbia can change the rules anytime for any reason ... take back .CO domains, raise prices to a zillion dollars, etc however they want - ICANN can not help in such matters. Buyer beware!
