State Colleges in Northern Ca

I see California State Universtity in Chico seems nice. Anyone go there? Any other recommendations in 4 year schools in terms of overall education/experience and not too expensive tuition? Considering moving there and looking at schools. Thanks!

Chico is good, the have a real good music program. Sonoma is good for for psych and wine business. Sac State is alright, but then you have to live in Sacramento. It really all depends on where you want to live and what you want to study, they're all pretty decent schools.

Interested in a good business schools and social sciences. Not too concerned bout the degree at this point as I need about 12 classes for a BA. Agriculture seems to be big at Chico. Of course, tution plays an important part. Looking at the map of Nor cal its so spread out. Going out in Sept to check it out. Thanks for a good start in my search!

My daughter graduated from UC Davis. Do like we did. Take a trip and visit each campus you are interested in. When you find the one you like, you will know it.

Both are good schools but both are also fucked on registration and accepting new students right now. (well sac state is for sure, do not no 100 yet about chico) you have to wait about a year to get in. If not longer.

Take the beer brewing classes at UC Davis if you end up going there http://extension.ucdavis.edu/unit/brewing/ and if you like wine and want to study it they have one of the best viticulture programs in the country (another one is at Fresno State).

My sister went to Chico State, then to Texas for her masters. She liked the school. At one point it was the top party school on Playboy's college list

Try Cal Berkeley. I and the Xpays guys, Evan and Mike, graduated from there. Decent social scene. Just a BART ride away from The City. Very mellow and academically/intellectually enriching environment. GO BEARS!

Go Bears indeed! Hopefully he is not a Republican if he has to live in Berkeley while going to Cal!

Also, the Hayward fault runs right through the Cal Bears football stadium so if you do not like earthquakes....

Funny how many people were libs back in college and changed ideology as they get older and more experienced. Such is life. I'm sure the reverse is also true.

If money is an issue then I guess your choice is the cal state schools unless you want to goto a community college then transfer after 2 years.

UCBerkeley is a great school academically but the city is "ghetto" plus there are no real lookers in the female student population,

If you want a nice peaceful environment goto UCDavis. Its a great school that is 20-30 minutes from Sacramento. I was there for 4 years and I enjoyed my times there.

If you are looking to party then goto UC santa barbara.

Just looking to get it over it with after a 10 year break. The state schools are probably the best option. I need about 14 classes for a BA. Sonoma sounds pretty good from what I see so far.
