I just joined PornKing's Porn4aBuck program and decided to have a look at their member's page before starting promotion. Here is what I got for spending $1 at http://www.agedladies.com

- part of their "Top 5 Features" is teen content (instead of mature)
- part of their "Top 5 Features" would show "Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource" error message
- most of the other content on that site is all but mature
- many more error messages like "We are sorry, but we cannot authorize you to enter Flirt4Free" or "Access Denied"
- never-ending pop-ups (on a member's site!!!

)
- Last update on their "XXX Pix" page: May 29, 2002

By the way: The second month would cost me $37 ... so I assume I could expect some decent content for my money.

If we are wondering about a site we might promote, we ask for a pass, if its not given? Skip on by as there is something they don't want seen for whatever reason.

But it looks like the weekend for mySQL errors... I have run across about 7 of them on various sites-programs in the last few days. Maybe the techs are... are... *gasp*... Drinking!!

Or the sponsors themselves had one too many and convinced themselves they really ARE script kiddies and decided to do it their wayyyyyyyyy....

Try it from this approach...

You buy software that's supposed to be for accounting, and you can demo it for $1..

The salesperson that sold you the pkg. was paid $20 commission for the sale.

If you keep using it after the demo period you have to pay the $30 for it.

You pay the $1 and install the software to find that it's a simple booking pkg. and not accounting.. plus there are a few bugs here & there...

Would you continue to use the software and pay the full price?
Were you deceived by the description of the pkg?

What the author agreed to pay the salesperson isn't the point..

The point is.. if you're selling Joe Surfer a trial membership to a mature site, then Joe should be given mature content.. If Joe is given somethin else, then it is unlikely that he will stick around and pay the full membership later..

and if there is nothing new to see from one day, or one week to the next.. again.. the odds of him stickin around are slim at best.

what is causing our industry to be under fire is all the join for free or 1 $ where you have to put your credit card info and who sign u up for 2 or 3 other sites at same time which will rebill you 35$ each...... this is the case even with most famous sponsors....

the guy thinks hes paying 1$ for a trial and at the end of the month he gets 4 35$ rebills he don't know where from....then he charges back and VISA fucks us up....
look what stiffycash and other ones are doing....they are big names and long established yet they fuck the surfers uf and our whole industry too.......when will these guys understand that the more you fuck the people the harder it will be to make sales......

just my opinion but this kind of practice is a scam in my book

Plus, this is the only industry on earth where you can accuse someone of cheating the customer and their response would be, "buyer beware" or "screw the customer".

And, some of you who are complaining about Pornkings tactics have equally questionable sites in your signatures. Many of these programs offer free trials, which need to be cancelled 24 hours before end of trial, to avoid rebill. If you are complaining about PornKings, then how can you turn around and justify scamming the surfer with the program you use?

These deceptive free trials are designed with only one purpose in mind...to trick the customer into thinking that he is actually receiving a trial that he can cancel up until the end of trial. But, oh no, by the time he cancels, the membership has already rebilled. This is every bit as slimey as over puffing the members area.

Edit: Correction..most of the posters on this thread do not have questionable sponsors listed in their signatures. However, I do question Mark's Cash....You give out free Trials for 1 day and yet the T & C's say that free trials need to be cancelled 24 hours prior. How the heck does that work?

Plus, is a one day trial 24 hours, or if a person signs up at 11:00 p.m., his trial ends at Midnight of the same day. If at midnight, then by who's time zone?

Obviously you dont, but some people care about where they send their surfers...You should think about it from a surfer standpoint and maybe you might be a better webmaster

But seriously, I live by my words. I send 90% of my traffic to Danni's programs..no pop-ups, no cross-sells, no trials...and the other 10% to other partnership programs with clear and concise T & C's. No tricks, no slime.

havent dealt with that style of PPS in awhile,if I go PPS I always go with a site using no trials and if the payout to me is $25,I make sure the monthly charge to the surfer is at least that much...Just how I operate ,everybody is happy and I'm doing just fine

I'll say it again...only in this industry can people justify lying, cheating and scamming as a normal part of day to day business.

It's no lie, there is a lot more money to be made using the tactics of 95% of the programs out there. A few months back, after really studying the techniques of my affiliate programs, I pulled my links from all of them. I then opened up my own small site and sent the majority of my traffic to no trial / no b.s. / high quality programs. And yes, the monetary effect to this day is that I now bring in approx $12,000 less a month, with the same traffic. So, while I won't reveal how much I now bring in a month, I'm still happy...and I'm building a business that I can feel proud about.

And I won't even promote a reputable site that has pop-ups. Because, often the pop-ups then direct the surfer to one of the shadier sites.

won't be going that far but I'll be unvieling a program soon,was supposed to be the first of the year but I really slacked off lol ... $25/month no trial,no crossbilling no upsells,$25 PPS or 60/40 revshare to the webmaster...absolutley no bullshit will be implented in my program,in the end its just going to end up being a hassle so I'm going to make it as simple and clean as possible...I've noticed there are A LOT of people on the come up that are succeeding using the simple and clean approach...

So, I'm still curious about your T & C's. They state that all trials must be cancelled 24 hours prior to avoid rebill. Your trials are only one day long...how does that work.

Plus, is one day 24 hours...or is it until the end of day...ie. a person signs up at 11:00 p.m....their membership rebills at midnight...and if at midnight, by who's time zone.

I agree with Jennycards. Anyone promoting a site should look at the content before they promote it.

2003 will probably be the year Visa and MasterCard both end auto rebilling for high risk merchants because of these issues.

Now that they have us paying for the right to be blacklisted and chargebacks are tracked per site they can create new rules for high risk merchants.

Those of you dependent on rebilling should be demanding sponsors have quality content that promotes retention not sites that rebill hoping that they will not be caught with a chargeback.

Well said, I've seen some large 2 big companies go busted, Main stream one's for the same kind of shit some of these porn sites are doing. And you know what, still 2 this day most don't have a clue why they went busted and I'm talking about some companies that were in business for over a 100 fucking years.

I have been inside some of pornkings sites before.. and i think you are confused on something..

I think the popup you got was from a delayed timed exit.. there is not actual consoles inside his members areas.. that popup was from the tour.. MANY MANY sponsors use delayed timed exits.. I think perhaps roger overlooked this by not disabling the popup if they joined...

You are bashing a program that makes alot of money, and pays on time.. and DOES offer the content they say they are offering.. Who cares if you have teen content in a mature sites.. as long as you ALSO offer mature content.. the more content the better right? And what they charge per month is moot at this point, cause its a pay per signup program.

Also, they are no longer your customer once they leave your page and went to rogers site. Are you a customer service spokesman or a business man/girl? Rogers sites are golden compared to 85-90% of the shit out there today.

I am not talking about pornkings here (the errors you got look more like a database fuckup than a ripp off to me). damn it, when I started back in 97´I used to send thraffic to sites that didn´t even have a membersection and nobody cares, does the name xpics ring a bell ?? ... The salesperson that sold you the pkg. was paid $20 commission for the sale. If you keep using it after the demo period you have to pay the $30 for it. You pay the $1 and install the software to find that it's a simple booking pkg. and not accounting.. plus there are a few bugs here & there... Would you continue to use the software and pay the full price? Were you deceived by the description of the pkg? What the author agreed to pay the salesperson isn't the point.. The point is.. if you're selling Joe Surfer a trial membership to a mature site, then Joe should be given mature content.. If Joe is given somethin else, then it is unlikely that he will stick around and pay the full membership later.. and if there is nothing new to see from one day, or one week to the next.. again.. the odds of him stickin around are slim at best. Just my take on it.....

And, some of you who are complaining about Pornkings tactics have equally questionable sites in your signatures. Many of these programs offer free trials, which need to be cancelled 24 hours before end of trial, to avoid rebill. If you are complaining about PornKings, then how can you turn around and justify scamming the surfer with the program you use? These deceptive free trials are designed with only one purpose in mind...to trick the customer into thinking that he is actually receiving a trial that he can cancel up until the end of trial. But, oh no, by the time he cancels, the membership has already rebilled. This is every bit as slimey as over puffing the members area. Edit: Correction..most of the posters on this thread do not have questionable sponsors listed in their signatures. However, I do question Mark's Cash....You give out free Trials for 1 day and yet the T & C's say that free trials need to be cancelled 24 hours prior. How the heck does that work? Plus, is a one day trial 24 hours, or if a person signs up at 11:00 p.m., his trial ends at Midnight of the same day. If at midnight, then by who's time zone? It's no lie, there is a lot more money to be made using the tactics of 95% of the programs out there. A few months back, after really studying the techniques of my affiliate programs, I pulled my links from all of them. I then opened up my own small site and sent the majority of my traffic to no trial / no b.s. / high quality programs. And yes, the monetary effect to this day is that I now bring in approx $12,000 less a month, with the same traffic. So, while I won't reveal how much I now bring in a month, I'm still happy...and I'm building a business that I can feel proud about. And I won't even promote a reputable site that has pop-ups. Because, often the pop-ups then direct the surfer to one of the shadier sites. Walk the walk and talk the talk.

Anyone promoting a site should look at the content before they promote it. 2003 will probably be the year Visa and MasterCard both end auto rebilling for high risk merchants because of these issues. Now that they have us paying for the right to be blacklisted and chargebacks are tracked per site they can create new rules for high risk merchants. Those of you dependent on rebilling should be demanding sponsors have quality content that promotes retention not sites that rebill hoping that they will not be caught with a chargeback.

I think the popup you got was from a delayed timed exit.. there is not actual consoles inside his members areas.. that popup was from the tour.. MANY MANY sponsors use delayed timed exits.. I think perhaps roger overlooked this by not disabling the popup if they joined... You are bashing a program that makes alot of money, and pays on time.. and DOES offer the content they say they are offering.. Who cares if you have teen content in a mature sites.. as long as you ALSO offer mature content.. the more content the better right? And what they charge per month is moot at this point, cause its a pay per signup program. Also, they are no longer your customer once they leave your page and went to rogers site.
