I KNEW it was coming but I didn't expect it so soon, at least not something as serious and as sickening as this -- a plot to kill some police officers, and if that wasn't sickening enough, to ambush the funeral in hopes of killing more. Isn't this the same kind of fucking shit that Muslim terrorists do?

These fucking reprobates have crossed the line. I can't see how this shit can be justified in the name of Jesus. If this does't OUTRAGE you, it should. FUCK THESE TERRORIST LOSERS.

Once other officers gathered for a slain officer's funeral, the group planned to detonate homemade bombs at the funeral, killing more, according to newly unsealed court papers.
The indictment includes charges of seditious conspiracy, possessing a firearm during a crime of violence, teaching the use of explosives, and attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction ? homemade bombs.

The indictment charges members of the group conspired "to levy war against the United States, (and) to oppose by force the authority of the government of the United States."
The charges follow FBI raids over the weekend on locations in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

According to investigators, the Hutaree view local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel as a "brotherhood" and an enemy, and planned to attack them as part of an armed struggle against the U.S. government.

Eight suspects have been arrested by the FBI, and one more is being sought. Of the eight captured, seven are due in court later Monday.

Andrew Arena, head of the FBI's field office in Detroit, said the case "is an example of radical and extremist fringe groups which can be found throughout our society. The FBI takes such extremist groups seriously, especially those who would target innocent citizens and the law enforcement officers who protect the citizens of the United States."

It is true that people merely USE religion to justify the despicable things they do, but it is much more than that. Without religion, do you really think we would have suicide bombers? Religion is a system of indoctrination that turns people into unthinking zombies willing to do anything their handlers tell them to do. In that sense, it is very much to blame.

I think what you might be trying to say is that the gods behind the religion are not to blame for the actions of idiots who do this kind of shit in their names, but those gods are basically 'made up' by the religion. Nobody should blame the historical Jesus, if he really existed, for what any of these rejects did, but the image of Jesus that is created by the fucking church is a different story. What you're pointing out is a baseless assertion, because if your case was true, then every religious person would be a fanatic (according to our mentally ill patient POED). You're basing your assertion on a premise you consider a fact.
