Sex.com could become the most expensive domain name on the Internet.

All that potential and all they can think of doing with it is selling it. Sad.

Correct
![]() Getting better ROI on your marketing budget includes having an self-explanatory domain, which is easy to pass on viral (ex. no question how its spelled), easy to remember, looks good on print/media (short), and reaches internationally (.coms) etc. I know companies in mainstream that increased their sales XXX% over a period of 1 year with the same marketing budget, but now with a category killer domain as their flagship site. People only looking for current traffic (one tree) are missing the forrest of opportunities ![]()

That is just about the smartest thing I have ever seen you type on the boards.
![]() It has been said a million times before, but before 1998 who the fuck ever heard of Google? Branding is way more important than just having a short keyword domain. Unless your intent is to just redirect the type-in traffic as generic traffic.
