did god set us up the computers?

There is a common thread in all religions from peoples from all parts of the world. Maybe based on a common memory.
Idiots like "the doc" don't have enough brains to understand the question, let alone contemplate the answer |

Not to mention the composition of the atmosphere was different, the water chemistry was different, the weather patterns were different - everything was different. Your question is redundant, poorly thought out and not very thought provoking at all. |

Now go ahead and ask me to prove Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Anne Coulter or ANY other conservative commentator is a liar. Please. |

Why is it more important to you to be a conservative than it is to be actually, factually correct about things? |

February 11, 2009 On Darwin?s Birthday, Only 4 in 10 Believe in Evolution Belief drops to 24% among frequent church attenders by Frank Newport PRINCETON, NJ -- On the eve of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth, a new Gallup Poll shows that only 39% of Americans say they "believe in the theory of evolution," while a quarter say they do not believe in the theory, and another 36% don't have an opinion either way. These attitudes are strongly related to education and, to an even greater degree, religiosity. Ron, what is the name of the college you attended to? |
hmmm makes you wonder how those people at least 6500 years ago knew about planets before we did less than 100 years ago. Why didn't I read about that in the indoctrination history books?

Ron, after you take home 8 digits in one year, you'll understand the smart ones. 'til then, "spread the word, spread the word..." :) |
Ron, what schools did you go to after you finished High School?
You did finish the High School, right? |

Because we still didn't find out in the last 100 years, it's GOT TO BE GOD! How do you call this argument? Intelligent? Enlightened? Putzy? Ignorant? Please do tell. Nothing much happening on the wine boards today, I am all yours today and I am your Shepherd you didn't want ;) |

:( "If you fly and run away
you live to fight another day" ;) Hit me on ICQ when you back and ready to continue our discussion. Brush upon your Quantum Chemistry, Quantum Physics on the plane, so we could talk on equal terms. I promise I'll brush upon my Old Testament while you are away. ;) |

Can you respond to my wall of text please 12clicks. I made sound points and feel as if my work has been greatly unappreciated.

Sheeet, I gave Ron the wrong books to read on the plane.
Ron, please ICQ me AFTER you get yourself familiar with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis and basic theories. May I suggest two courses in bio-chemistry to help you out? After you are done, you'll never start threads like you did ever again. ;) |

we can't make gold, yet we know it exists and is created. If your theory is "god" made it, simply because you can't figure it out, you are an idiot.

I know we can make diamonds, but I don't think gold can be made synthetically. Maybe... but this is the first I'm hearing about it. I just read this online... Gold is an element, as is carbon. Graphite is a form of carbon. Diamond is a form of carbon. Graphite and diamond are two different arrangements of carbon atoms. We can reform carbon from graphite into diamond, but there is nothing to reform to make gold. |
In a nuclear reactor gold can be manufactured by irradiation of platinum or mercury. Since platinum is more expensive than gold, platinum is economically unsuitable as a raw material. Only the mercury isotope Hg-196, which occurs with a frequency of 0.15% in natural mercury, can be converted to gold by neutron capture, and following K+- decay into Au-197 with slow neutrons. Other mercury isotopes are converted when irradiated with slow neutrons into one another or formed mercury isotopes, which beta decay into thallium. Using fast neutrons, the mercury isotope Hg-198, which is contained to 9.97% in natural mercury, can be converted by splitting off a neutron and becoming Hg-197, which then disintegrates to stable gold. This reaction, however, possesses a smaller activation cross-section and is feasible only with un-moderated reactors. It is also possible to eject several neutrons with very high energy into the other mercury isotopes in order to get the Hg-197. However such high-energy neutrons can be produced only by particle accelerators.

12clicks could start a thread with the first post merely saying "I just farted" and it'd still get to at least 5 pages.
Few people here could accomplish that. |
