99% of the content I shoot is softcore. However, you never know what kind of obscenity charge you can catch for no reason.

I live in an all black neighborhood with a big yard that stretches far to my left..Of course that extra yard corresponds with extra curb space in front of my property and the house to my right is vacant, so there is no reason for somebody to be parking in front of or NEAR my house unless they are visiting somebody across the street. But I was noticing all kinds of different people parked to the left of my house and just sitting in their AMERICAN cars. Me, being a pornographer, I figured that I'm being watched by the task force in my city. I don't do child porn or anything and I don't sell drugs so I wasn't too worried about them getting something on me to arrest me. The only thing I could think of is obscenity.

So I just went on my business as usual. I figured that if I'm going to be in porn, I have to get used to being watched by law enforcement waiting for me to fuck up somehow.

So one day over a month ago, I come home around 2:30 pm and I see a white dude sitting in a Pontiac Grand-AM parked in his usual spot in front of the extra curb space of my yard. The car is still running and when I get out of the car, he takes off his sunglasses and makes eye contact with me. I just look back at him. I take the kid into the house and come back outside and walk up to his window. I tell him that he's a white man sitting in a car in an all black neighborhood with his car running right in front of my house. I ask him politely what he's doing there. His answer is "It's a public street". I say cool, walk around the back of his car and get his license number and then I walk in the house to call the police. The car speeds off as soon as I close my front door. I'm talking to the police and give them the license plate number to log a complaint. I didn't see him again.....

UNTIL this morning where I see him going to get in his STILL RUNNING car. He then drives off before I can park my car, get out, and challenge him. I don't know if he was at my house or not because I didn't get there in time...So I KNOW that something is up now and something is about to happen. Before I go in my house, I see a Sherriff's task force truck turn down my street with a sherriff's van behind it and a BUNCH of AMERICAN cars coming in a line. I look to my right, and I see more american cars coming the other way....

I said to myself, "Well, this is it". I knew that I was about to get busted for probably an obscenity charge or probably some bitch had given me a fake ID or something. Either way, I knew that my life was about to be finished, I had my laptop in my hand that had EVERYTHING on it and I was stuck. I didn't even bother running in the house. I just stood in the front yard and waited for them to take me right there. Amazingly, even though I knew that I was facing arrest, I was real calm about it. I wasn't scared shitless like I thought that I would be.

Then the Task force truck drove PAST me, went to a house three doors down, the swat team came out and RAIDED that house!! It was the County Drug Task Force and one of the dudes politely asked me to go in my house for 5 minutes.

What happened is that this old man has this bitch living with him who is selling dope out of there. My neighbor across the street comes over and tells me that they raided that house before and came out with over $50,000 and that they just now came out with a big trash bag of something.

I then look and I see that same Grand Am down the street. It turns out that he wasn't watching my house at all. He was watching that old man's house!! I see him out in his yard all the time and I had no idea that coke was being sold out of there.

PHEW!!!! Now I can relax.....I have faced the fire and I now know how I would act if I was facing arrest...And I DIDN'T shit in my pants afterall.

How would some of y'all pornographers act if you saw the swat team truck coming towards you???

I had two local police detectives show up at my door on Dec. 3rd. A local neighbor saw girls coming and going all the time so he called the detectives and told them I might be running a prostitution ring. One of the detectives did some checking on me (before visiting of course) and found my websites. He and his partner came to the door. They asked if I would let them in and I invited them both inside. There was a model here for a shoot at the time so I asked if my girlfriend could take her home while we talked. They questioned the girl briefly and then let them leave. They asked a lot of questions. I showed them around, gave them a copy of the model releases that I used, showed them ID's, let them see whatever they wanted. We were polite with each other and I told them they could come in any time they wanted. The detective was impressed by all the legal steps I take to keep everything legit. He told me that he'd never faced a local porn producer and that he'd honestly had to contact federal authorities to see how to proceed. He told me that as far as he knew I wasn't breaking any zoning laws because he'd already checked my city business license and noticed I was licensed to run a photography studio from my home.

He followed up with me and assured me that I could run the business from my home as long as I had fewer than 10 cars per day coming and going. The most I usually have is 5 so I'm well within the zoning laws.

They also asked me to help them out... he told me that he was sure that local sickos would eventually contact me asking for "weird things" (he left that open ended) and asked me to let him know if anyone bothered me or wanted anything illegal.

Since my dad is in law enforcement in another city, and I know how these men are doing the best job they could, I feel happy to help any way I can.

I was also counseled that some of my neighbors have very conservative viewpoints and that he wouldn't put it past them to key my car or throw rocks through my windows if they decided they didn't like having a porn photographer in the neighborhood. He told me they have no legal recourse against me so they may resort to such tactics. I took that advice and found a 2,900 sq. ft office/house in a business district that I'm moving into this week. It's set up perfect for photo shoots.

My thoughts on law enforcement are that they are men doing their jobs to feed their families. If you are nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Keep your attitude under control and be friendly and they'll be cordial in return... and if you're doing something illegal they'll cordially arrest you.

been there done that and have the video to prove it lol I had like 15 to 20 of them bastards at my door 2 years ago they knocked I open a shotgun was pointed at my head they screamed search warrant and I just froze like a little bitch. I turned from being scared to getting pissed cause they were going through all my shit... long story short they ended up taking all videos and cam's and puters it took a judge to tell them they have 10 days to return all my shit to me and that was after 6 months of waiting form them to look at my shit.

Come to find out THEY still didnt look at my shit they only watched the videos which were over 200 of them all from barney to zepplein videos and a few porno's To this day when ever the phone rings and its a wrong number my tummy turns sick or if I see weird cars just sitting around or driving around i get all quizzy They would call my house to see if I was home then they would setup shop outside to watch me and the people that came in and out of my house. FUCK THAT I hope I never go through something like this ever again

Heh, i remember a few of years ago, when i was on the bus back from school, there was a road block. So naturally, i look out to see whta it's all about, and there's a SWAT team (or whatever they call it down here in Australia) at this small unit. They kicked in the door just as our bus got waved through. Saw it all on the news later. Was quite exciting anyways.

Nothing funky ever happens around here.

Been there before... a few times. Once I had about 20+ guns pointed directly at me for a good 15 minutes. I'm no criminal but when hanging with certain people and in certain places can get you into heaps-o-mess!

This instance we were driving away from a club and we heard shots fired. The club we left wasn't the type you would hear shots fired so we weren't too concerned about an all out gunfight so we calmly drove off. We get on the interstate which is one of the largest in the state with like 6 lanes on each side and drive on our merry way while trying to figure out which Waffle House to go to.

At about the second mile we noticed there was no traffic at all. This is really strange on this large busy freeway. Then all of a sudden we start seeing police cars driving the wrong direction up off ramps and from the distance as well as enough lights turning on behind us all in unison to make us think we were being visited by the mothership from Close Encounters.

They pull us over and they all get out with guns drawn. They told us to get out blah blah blah. We do and I look around and see even more police officers standing OFF the freeway with guns pointed at us.

They forced us down on the asphalt IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY at gunpoint (of course.) They then proceed to ask us if there's any guns or drugs in the car blah blah blah. Nope.

At this point I was on the ground cracking jokes to the other guys within earshot. All I could think about was how crazy this was, would we get to The Waffle House in time to catch the babes or would we have to go to IHOP and would our super high Mexican friend make it with us regardless of where we went.

So we get up off the ground and they take us in separate police cars to different dark corners off the feeder road to question us. I thought I was about to catch the ass whooping of my life. I mean this is how it's supposed to happen right?! Well it didn't. It was a quick questioning to make sure our stories matched.

They finally told us that they thought we were the ones who shot someone back at the club. I guess having a carload of multiethnic hip hop lookin folks always makes you fit the description when shit happens.

We went to Whataburger. No babes. The stoned friend lit up another one he hid somewhere(?!) Just another night in the city.

My lawyer advised me that its best to get an office/studio that you film and handle business.

Reason Being: If the task force/sherriff/po-po/ come knockin at your door for some obsenity shit. They will ransack your house, take all the computers, and question your children on all kinda dumb shit like are you filming them "child P" shit and all that unecessary bullshit that your seeds don't need to be scarred with.

Plus your spot will be blown up by your neighbors. (There goes the neighborhood type shit). My neighboors only know that I'm into real estate. That would be the worst for them to assume all kind fuck shit if the Po Po kicked in ya Do Do!

This house is my "studio". My kids lives with my babymomma around the corner...I only get afterschool visits and some weekend visits. If they raided this house one morning, they wouldn't be waking my kids up out of their sleep or anything.

Oh my GOD it never stops! If you're under an investigation from a COUNTY TASK FORCE because they think that you're doing something wrong, do you REALLY think that having a business license, address, and seperate identity is going to stop them from coming to your house and busting your ass? Wrong is Wrong no matter where you're doing it. I am not doing anything wrong so I am at no less risk using a home address than I am using a business address..If I was really that worried about what I am doing, I'd be in the bahamas right now....

Yeah you're right about that but there's nothing I can do. I have to pay for this house AND for my babymomma's expenses at her house. When I lived with her, I had a seperate apartment to take the hoes to.

Hey, it's only natural to start getting suspicious and paranoid when strange cars start planting their ass by your house. I'm a white woman who *doesn't* shoot porn out of her home and if that shit started happening here, you'd best believe I'd get suspicious and start calling the police.

Still, this should be a reminder to all of us to make sure our paperwork is straight and we've got all of the legalities taken care of, so if it ever happens to us (and if you're shooting porn, it WILL happen to you sooner or later), we can have an experience like Donny had. I have a prominent lawyer friend that has made we very well versed in this business. I'm in Lincoln, NE.... the only place more tight-assed than this place is Utah.....

I have a local police captain who keeps having his "croanies" asking questions about me to the local bar owners, who help me with my biz.....

Last time the cops even asked me a question, i recorded the conversation, called up a buddy of mine at a local television station, and boom.... next evenings news i was there laying the shit down..... If they're going to fuck with me, and put some heat on me..... i'll do the same for them......

BTW, i wish they would give me some more heat..... my su's on the day that i was on the news were fucking amazing!

I'm waiting for the knock at my door one of these days too. I live in Polk County and some of you may remember we made national news when our computer crimes unit arrested 2 people for participating in the Ifriends webcam thing. The couple called the police because they were getting death threats via email, they unit responded and eventually arrested them for being nude on there webcam. Ifriends won't even allow you access to the adult area's now if you live in our zip code.

The laws on this around here are out of control.

I wasn't scared shitless like I thought that I would be. Then the Task force truck drove PAST me, went to a house three doors down, the swat team came out and RAIDED that house!! It was the County Drug Task Force and one of the dudes politely asked me to go in my house for 5 minutes. What happened is that this old man has this bitch living with him who is selling dope out of there. My neighbor across the street comes over and tells me that they raided that house before and came out with over $50,000 and that they just now came out with a big trash bag of something. I then look and I see that same Grand Am down the street. It turns out that he wasn't watching my house at all. He was watching that old man's house!! I see him out in his yard all the time and I had no idea that coke was being sold out of there. PHEW!!!! Now I can relax.....I have faced the fire and I now know how I would act if I was facing arrest...And I DIDN'T shit in my pants afterall. I'm no criminal but when hanging with certain people and in certain places can get you into heaps-o-mess! This instance we were driving away from a club and we heard shots fired. The club we left wasn't the type you would hear shots fired so we weren't too concerned about an all out gunfight so we calmly drove off. We get on the interstate which is one of the largest in the state with like 6 lanes on each side and drive on our merry way while trying to figure out which Waffle House to go to. At about the second mile we noticed there was no traffic at all. This is really strange on this large busy freeway. Then all of a sudden we start seeing police cars driving the wrong direction up off ramps and from the distance as well as enough lights turning on behind us all in unison to make us think we were being visited by the mothership from Close Encounters. They pull us over and they all get out with guns drawn. They told us to get out blah blah blah. We do and I look around and see even more police officers standing OFF the freeway with guns pointed at us. They forced us down on the asphalt IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY at gunpoint (of course.) They then proceed to ask us if there's any guns or drugs in the car blah blah blah. Nope. At this point I was on the ground cracking jokes to the other guys within earshot. All I could think about was how crazy this was, would we get to The Waffle House in time to catch the babes or would we have to go to IHOP and would our super high Mexican friend make it with us regardless of where we went. So we get up off the ground and they take us in separate police cars to different dark corners off the feeder road to question us. I thought I was about to catch the ass whooping of my life. I mean this is how it's supposed to happen right?! Well it didn't. It was a quick questioning to make sure our stories matched. They finally told us that they thought we were the ones who shot someone back at the club. I guess having a carload of multiethnic hip hop lookin folks always makes you fit the description when shit happens. We went to Whataburger. No babes.
