the war is senseless therefore anyone who joins is an idiot you can't say that the single soldier is innocent of everything and he's just a brave soul because then you have to apply the same mentality to the other side, something that i'm sure none of you are prepared to do if right now canada started a war against england for no reason at all, just decided one day that they would go in and change the regime there and i joined the canadian forces, am i not an idiot for joining a war with no purpose, a senseless war that will only lead to casualties on both sides? of course i am! its the same with your 'heros' if the people in the US refuse to fight these dumb pointless oil-grab wars then we wouldn't be having this conversation but theres still some of you out there who think its honorable to go fight in a war for no reason |

i find nothing humorous in a bunch of kids, never forget those guys were probably 18 or 19, getting scared about having some shells lobbed at them
what were you doing when you were 19? probably not dodging bullets and having shells lobbed at you, i suspect you were living at home with mommy doing your laundry |
I'm assuming they made it out of there safely, since the video made it to youtube. That's all the matters, not your dumbass opinions.

I find it interesting that some people have a problem with real Americans who love this country and do not want to see young people sent to war by anti american leaders who have weaseled their way into our highest leadership positions. :2 cents: I guess those people support the slaughter of their own countrymen for the benefit of people who do not give a fuck about freedom. Sad

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to think the war is a bad idea and that it would be foolish to join the military during such a war without actually hating soldiers or being un-American.
|
The thing is.. it's real easy to judge a video from the comfort of your safe home. From the looks of video, they were probably held up with no where to go. And I guarantee anyone reading this would be shitting themselves to if they were in that situation. I know damm well I would be.
|
so wait am i not supposed to hate US soldiers that are abroad right now killing innocent people and fighting this war?
why not? its ok to hate 1 taliban for killing innocents but the US soldier is somehow a more legitimate human being that can decide better than a taliban who has the right to live or die? just because he might not understand or be misled, does that make it ok for him/her to do what they're doing, participating in the invasion and mass murder of tens of thousands of people? of course not! ill be the first to say that i DONT support troops that fight a war just so they can cram their beliefs down another society's throats. come home you idiots the real war is being lost in the US as your freedoms, rights and liberties all get slowly taken away! |
100 scared kids.

I wonder if your reaction would have been the same if it was video of a French, Russian or any other nationality that everyone here loves to bash.

all im saying is why are you supporting troops that are out there fighting for a government that is eroding your rights, kicking you out of your homes and making you pay top prices in the world for health care that everyone else gets for free? if the soldiers said 'we don't want to fight a war that is baseless' then the US would be forced instead to resort to diplomacy...but the way things are now the US is hostile to anyone that doesn't agree with it to the point that it won't even talk with them - imagine that, keeping a military option on the table while at the same time refusing to listen to what the other side says...how does that make sense? |

Now I'm not going to profess to being an expert in world economics, but the comment did interest me enough to go do a little googling. From what I've seen, we might already be not too far off this happening. From what I managed to search up and read, the top nations in the world at the G20 have all expressed their dwindling faith in the US dollar, and suggestions have already been made by many to switch to special drawing rights, and many even the Chinese yuan. Again, I'm not expert on the subject, but this leads me to ask the question, "If this would be so incredibly devastating to our lives, why are so many of the world's other powers supportive of the idea? And who exactly is it bad for?" Seems a little to me like that american "We ARE the world" attitude is shining a little with that comment... |
