Tube sites and torrents operate outside the limits of the law and thus are not protected by the same.

You get what you pay for and plenty of software developers have already implemented this tactic in increasing their digital distro revenues

The problem with tubes and torrents is not the fact that they exist at this point ... its the fact that they are so easy to use and some are almost risk free.People would be more willing to pay for something if they know that stealing it carries some risk.

The same goes for software as porn on these torrent sites

If you knew that downloading an illegal torrent copy of CS4 would likely infect and kill your PC .. you would be more likely to just buy it

on the other hand if you downloaded a copy of CS4 from pirate bay and it crippled your system ... you wouldnot hold that against adobe

Are you talking about only targeting Tubes that have illegal content, Tubes that have full length scenes or Tubes that have anything over a certain length of scene legal or not?

Let's daydream about a magic bullet that will get rid of all Tubes with illegal content. They will close down and sites with legal content will pick up the traffic and customers.

So let's keep dreaming and imagine we can get rid of any full length scene Tube site. The Tubes with 6 minute scenes will pick up a load of the traffic. If you disagree with this look back at all the experts who said putting too much hard core in a TGP was a bad move. If they were right the 6 minute scenes will appeal to many. One of the torrent sites I submit DMCAs to just recently banned one of their top 5 uploaders because he kept uploading a torrent of one of my clients movies. This site had added my client to their Forbidden list, yet this guy kept uploading it...so they banned him. The users on this site are starting to grumble about all the torrents being removed because when they load up Bit Torrent they are getting all kinds of error messages regarding unregistered torrents.

These piracy sites are eating our lunch because they are simply better than us at giving the surfers what they want. So since convenience is one of their major draws...how about we inject a little "frustration" into the surfer's experience? At the same time we build better sites with more ease and convenience at great prices.

Do you realize that many of the people going to piracy sites are foreign? For them, they have no other way of getting your content on DVD and everyone's pay sites are in nothing but English. How about making your new paysites in a buttload of different languages?

Just take control of your content and let these tubes try and survive with old shitty content from Wildlife and Acid Rain that they got from the wastebins of World Wide Content. Eventually they'll come to you begging for good content since no one in the history of ever has ever busted a nut after watching a video from Maverick.

Filehost first to get the content taken down. If the filehost doesn't take action, then a 2nd DMCA is sent and the filehost's ISP is CC'd. There typically isn't a 3rd DMCA.

You can send DMCAs to pornbb and they'll actually delete threads. But don't do this until you've sent the DMCA to the filehost otherwise the files are still available. Pornbb is slow and doesn't always carry through with it, but most of the time they will. Even if they don't remove the thread, if the uploader re-ups the content it will bump it to the top of the forum so that you should be able to catch it again. If they don't remove the thread and you kill the links, then at least the post sits there with a few screenshots, almost like an advertisement. Just make sure that they can't find that movie in another thread.

And before you take on pornbb you absolutely must install the CCF container format decrypter. It will decrypt all the container formats that pirates use to mask URLs.

Almost all the posters on pornbb post the same links on 5 or 6 other forums as well, but you can use pornbb as a nice net to catch the majority of uploaders. They post to pornbb because it gets the most traffic and they need LOTS of downloads to meet the payout thresholds from filehosts.

I think someone else mentioned this, but I see pirates all the time say "Hey guys I have a 3 day pass to Reality Kings, I'll download as much as I can and upload it here".

How much would it hurt paysites if you didn't allow downloading by those on trial memberships? Do sites already do this?

Also, why not restrict an paysite login/pass if more than 2 IPs in one hour access it. That would seem to cut down on password traders trying to scrape your sites.

And before you take on pornbb you absolutely must install the CCF container format decrypter. It will decrypt all the container formats that pirates use to mask URLs.

Almost all the posters on pornbb post the same links on 5 or 6 other forums as well, but you can use pornbb as a nice net to catch the majority of uploaders. They post to pornbb because it gets the most traffic and they need LOTS of downloads to meet the payout thresholds from filehosts.

Yep pretty much all the file hosts pay uploaders. Typical rate is $10 for 1000 downloads. There's lot of variations though. But you can find the details right on their sites.

But those 4 or 5 of us frustrated their users enough with dead links that they actually started fighting amongst themselves. They believed that it was other uploaders reporting their competition. They went as far as to consider banning certain file hosts. Now imagine if every studio would get off their fat fucking asses and send DMCAs every single fucking day. Better yet, what if every studio found their one big 'Super Fan' and told him he would get every DVD they released and an occasional handjob if he'd police a set of sites for them? One of the torrent sites I submit DMCAs to just recently banned one of their top 5 uploaders because he kept uploading a torrent of one of my clients movies. This site had added my client to their Forbidden list, yet this guy kept uploading it...so they banned him. The users on this site are starting to grumble about all the torrents being removed because when they load up Bit Torrent they are getting all kinds of error messages regarding unregistered torrents. These piracy sites are eating our lunch because they are simply better than us at giving the surfers what they want. So since convenience is one of their major draws...how about we inject a little "frustration" into the surfer's experience? At the same time we build better sites with more ease and convenience at great prices. Do you realize that many of the people going to piracy sites are foreign? For them, they have no other way of getting your content on DVD and everyone's pay sites are in nothing but English. How about making your new paysites in a buttload of different languages? Just take control of your content and let these tubes try and survive with old shitty content from Wildlife and Acid Rain that they got from the wastebins of World Wide Content. Eventually they'll come to you begging for good content since no one in the history of ever has ever busted a nut after watching a video from Maverick. Show some fucking ethics, stop working with fucking thieves, actually spend 8-10 hours a day doing WORK and stop fucking over customers with dishonest practices. This shit ain't rocket science.

How much would it hurt paysites if you didn't allow downloading by those on trial memberships? Do sites already do this? Also, why not restrict an paysite login/pass if more than 2 IPs in one hour access it. That would seem to cut down on password traders trying to scrape your sites.
