What software helps you stay organized?

What do you use to hold it all together?

I use Reminder Fox plug-in for FF, a good old fashioned yellow legal pad and my memo / alarm on my mobile phone. Uber high tech.

You?

Tried all kinds of things, but what eventually works for me is a simple MS word file on my laptop desktop where I list with every date:

- calls
- eventual meetings
- reminders

And below those a task list that changes frequently,

So it's just a notepad basically where I can move / copy / paste

It's also kind of useful to have it on a remote desktop in order so you see that all the time.

This - a couple different contact database files in Excel and trying to somehow sort / file and organize all the emails in my MS Outlook are more or less it.

MS Outlook for emails and contacts, synchronized via a hosted MS Exchange provider for $10 a month with unlimited storage and backups. All to keep my computer and cellphone in complete sync with contacts as well as emails. All in one place, I like that. Then MS OneNote for all projects and memos.

I've tried a lot of software over the years, but realized like a year ago that good 'ol fashioned pencil & paper work best by far. I even print out my calendars from calendarsthatwork.com and leave them on my desk all scribbled on.. I never lose track of anything this way.

This. After using MS Outlook with an exchange server it is difficult to use anything else.

I started using it to keep track of assignments and projects in school, definitely makes it easy to keep all of your contacts/appointments/emails in sync.

3x5 Index Cards... I buy 100 packs of 100 index cards every year around this time. During the back to school sales they cost around $0.44/ea. I use these for EVERYTHING. I have a note card for anything you can think of, lol.

Todoist - http://www.todoist.com I couldn't live without this. I use it for my daily tasks, bill reminders, projects, ect.

My big ass dry erase board hanging in my office. It's also magnetic so that works out well too.

Thunderbird for email and contacts. Gmail likewise.

Cellphone for alarms but I never use the calendar on it.

A wall calendar for misc things.

I like the little 2 1/2" square paper in a cube. Just jot it down and rip up later. I've tried the computer but for some reason the real paper is easier and less anal. Better for us type B personalities.
