                  Yeah, I have a problem with Scottdale and alll the assholes that live there. I live in tempe, but scottsdale has forced Jenna Jameson out, tried to close down her strip club, and that is just recently. The fact that they say "In order to protect your neighborhood and your children it is imperative that you take action now" since when is this a threat to children?

                  You seen half they fucking kids nowdays anyway? check out myspace, youtube, or just drive down the street...
                  these parents/concerned people need to worry about their own kids behavior instead of waste time on bashing/harassing people that are no threat.

                          First I want to say I promote Wifey's World and believe they have the right to live where ever they want and conduct business within the privacy of their own home.

                          I do have a problem with the title of this thread as I find no place in the story posted where anyone is quoted as calling them 'sex offenders' as well in post #6 where buck30 claims this lady is labeling them 'child molesters'.
                          ..now maybe she is saying that..but you've shown no proof and I think you are doing more harm to Wifey than helping the situation as your statements are the ones labeling them that since you haven't shown any proof.

                          I'm sure your intentions are to support Wifey in this but I don't think they need these kinds of terms attributed to them in a public forum that will easily be picked up by the SE's and give the public reading this, that wont even bother to read the story believe that it is true.

                          I think its more important to be accurate in your statements than to try and get views and support by posting inflammatory and unsubstantiated terms.

                          Like I said above..if what you have said is accurate then post something to back it up..I think you will find most people will support this situation and Wifey without those kinds of statements.

                                          the subject is a couple that run a pornographic web site; the name of the group opposing them is Northeast Valley Coalition Against Pornography; ". . as a parent and homeowner in the area, I am concerned that this business would be established or moved to our area," resident Phil Mihok; another resident wants to know how to 'keep the couple out.'

                                          There are 4 FACTS in the article that would lead to the conclusion by a reasonable person the same thing I believe, However, I am open to another explanation.

                                          Please, let me know what else this neighborhood group could think the owners of the site are..

                                                              and I guess the article might be the first time the neighbors heard from the owners that they were not going to produce content there. However, so what if they did? most zoning allows business without a license or permit as long as there is no excessive foot or vehicle traffic, which, this type of business there isn't much.

                                                              My point is, frickin scottsdale, always gets their panties in a bunch, it drives me nuts. I believe that the neighbors are afraid that their children will be in danger of being molested, or attacked because of this kind of business. It is just stupidity to think that adult content production means they are freaks and a danger to kids. That is absurd.

When you pass out flyers in the neighborhood that says protect your children, what do you think they mean dumbass? They want to protect their children from these bad porn people moving in. They don't want them in the neighborhood and they are trying to find ways to block it. Legally they can not stop them from movig in but they can make it an unhappy situation for them. Handing out flyers imforming the neighborhood that a porn couple is moving in and saying protect your children is implying that they have something to be worried about. It does imply that they are perverts or pedophiles. How can you not see that, are you really that blind?

                                                                                                  He did not label her anything. I read his posts and he does not say anywhere wifey is a pedophile. He linked to an article. Then he said how he hates Scottsdale. No where on there was anything saying wifey was a perv. He is exactly right on target with what he posted. You know those flyers are sent out because they think that the children will not be safe because of what they do for a living. Like I said if it was a doctor no flyers would be sent out. Scottsdale is a town that hates anything to do with porn. They have made it clear they do not want it in their town. That is probably how that group against porn found out.                                                                                                       Example. A plumbing business run from home.
                                                                                                      Are we talking about someone answering a telephone, taking messages, setting appointments.
                                                                                                      Or are we talking about vans with roofladders parked in the street, supplies stored in the garage, employees reporting in, etc.....

                                                                                                      Both are home businesses. I don't want to live next to a plumbing business. I have no problem living next to a plumbing contractor.

Honestly it would of gotten just as many views and a lot less flack attacks to the poster if he/she would of stuck to the real facts and the issues at hand.

Suggesting that all pornographers are in someway after peoples children.

                                                                                                                              Attempting to twist the words though to say they are being called sex offenders is no better than doing what the opposition is doing here and in many other areas. Twisting words and jumping to conclusions.

Pornography always stands behind the shield of the freedom of speech, and alas so is this group. They are not breaking any law, just like most of us.

                                                                                                                              What many may need to come to grips with though is that some of us are pornographers and some of us are advertisers for pornographers i.e. profiteers of porn. There is a great deal of stigma attached to it, like it or not. The opposition also are very organized unlike ourselves, and they have watchdog groups and reporting sites to monitor and keep track of many of us. The have quick link sites to turn our sites into Governing agencies, including local D.A.'s and other individuals. They also explain to people how to research the information and find who may own certain sites and the like. Also keep in mind that just because they may be bible thumping zealots, they have many technically inclined participants. They also have a great deal of funds to attack their enemies with, so buying mailing lists and infiltrating the ranks is well within their means.

                                                                                                                              It all boils down to that we chose this career path and accepted the stigma that is attached to it. You may think that nobody ever will find out, you may feel that it can remain a very hidden secret. In reality though it can and more like will eventually turn up if someone is inquisitive enough.

                                                                                                                                  I just saw he just posted the link to the article that included the sex offender reference. I am not sure about the kid committing suicide thing. I did read the website link to her son, and she did say he was depressed but he was not getting counseling. I think he may mean since she knew her kid was depressed and did not get him professional mental help, she is at fault. I really do not know. I think it is sad that a kid at 12 or 13 would commit suicide. It also has nothing to do with her pegging these people as sex offenders.

I was just shocked that people would assume that because you run an adult website, that you are somehow not safe around children. Buck did another link to the original article, and it does say couple pegged as sex offenders. I did chose this career path, but it is still hurtful to think that some people would assume I would be a danger to kids. I hope I never get on that groups list. My neighbors have no clue what I do.

Pornography always stands behind the shield of the freedom of speech, and alas so is this group. They are not breaking any law, just like most of us.

                                                                                                                                              What many may need to come to grips with though is that some of us are pornographers and some of us are advertisers for pornographers i.e. profiteers of porn. There is a great deal of stigma attached to it, like it or not. The opposition also are very organized unlike ourselves, and they have watchdog groups and reporting sites to monitor and keep track of many of us. The have quick link sites to turn our sites into Governing agencies, including local D.A.'s and other individuals. They also explain to people how to research the information and find who may own certain sites and the like. Also keep in mind that just because they may be bible thumping zealots, they have many technically inclined participants. They also have a great deal of funds to attack their enemies with, so buying mailing lists and infiltrating the ranks is well within their means.

You may think that nobody ever will find out, you may feel that it can remain a very hidden secret. In reality though it can and more like will eventually turn up if someone is inquisitive enough.
