i stopped using WP awhile ago. Don't get me wrong It 's a good blog/cms system but it started to grow to big to mess around with everyday. So i built my own. 3 files, caches queries, no updates. its not pretty but it gets the job done.

I save the password automatically to avoid typing it in every time.

For hostgator users: I know that hostgator shared servers don't even require ftp user/pass when upgrading.

Step 1. Goto DP, post a wanted ad for a banner design or social bookmarking, etc etc. Do NOT post for technical work.
Step 2. Hire the cheapest six responses you get for a simple shit repetitive job for one day.
Step 3. Pay them promptly upon completion, and ask if they'd be interested in more simple work.
Step 4. Let them know you have some simple repetitive maintenance work done, and you'll explain to them how to do it if they're interested. You should be down to probably 4 candidates already.
Step 4. Smoke a joint and reflect upon your experiences with these six candidates. At most this should run you a hundred bucks.
Step 5. Choose 2 of the 4 to give the work to, and keep 1 on the backburner.
Step 6. Spend a good afternoon or evening creating a very detailed step by step instructional video for your tasks with Camtasia Studio. Also include a detailed written outline for the work.
Step 7. Have them go through the document and video, then discuss it with you. Step them through a couple rotations through their new work cycle with live support.
Step after a couple runs, give them a chance to do one or two on their own. Then check up on their work.
Step 8. If it's all good, give them a day to work by themselves. Check up afterwords, then review with them.
Step 9. Fire whichever one is slacking most at this point. If neither is doing their job correctly or is not showing any promise, bring in applicant #3 from the deck.

He might cost you a whopping total of like $200-300 monthly. A frycook could hire this guy, but for him he's happy as fuck to have a steady job that pays him that much.
